I'm just observing, and reading your links with no particular knowledge, but a big archive dump to a server might be a virtual ddos. I'd maybe look into dribbling an archive to a server a bit at a time, or at least contacting the admin to make sure it was cool.

It's not really useful to you now, but I keep alt text in comments on the Trek posters. I don't usually bother with the other stuff cause it's usually ephemeral.
I'm using gthumb, but I'm sure there's tons of other software you can do it with. It stores it in a hidden directory in the pic folder.
Point is, storing it locally will give you a backup. If you do it before the server shuts down, you can copy/paste everything.

Saturday I stopped on the street to spin the chute on my chipper, and thought I'd take a pic of my clump of Queen Anne's Lace in the front yard. It's not a great pic. I feel like a weirdo taking pics of my own stuff, so I did it quick as possible. The presentation is more important than the flower in this case. I mow around them when they start to grow. Wish I had more variety. I get little flowers in the spring but they're hard to see.

As a casual non participating observer, these are the options/issues imo...
People will be excited about the new season. Doing them as-aired can build on that.
Mixing old & new could be jarring, so that means waiting on s03 and losing momentum.
The two best options(non perfect):
Each week one old, one new as-aired
Go through s02-s03 in order

It's hard to contemplate being able to see 360° simultaneously, and with multiple vantage points, but I guess a creature that lives with that can filter input as necessary.
Maybe there's just a portion of goo that has optical receivers, and it gets placed in the whole form as need dictates. That would be weird in itself. Standing still, but seeing a moving image as you adjust your eye location O.o

Fake horror on the screen is manageable, and finite vs real horror that can't be controlled. Like a rollercoaster.
I'm taking your word for it that there's more horror being shown now. If I were interested, I'd look at historical peak horror periods, and see how they correlate to what's going on in the world. See if there's a pattern.

Overall, spring lingers longer than it used to. More cool days than there used to be, which is nice. The bill comes due in fall, where summer lasts *way* longer than it used to, and winter may only be a week long. That sucks. Got winter the last couple years though. The first in a decade or more.

There's degrees in which politicians do it. You expect some level of bullshit from every one of them, but with the better politicians, it's usually an overoptimistic expectation of results, and some airbrushing of potential problems. Make it all shine a little bit.
The current regime is pure nonsense, and you can't compare that to "normal". The press is complicit. Some maybe because access requires it, but I think a large portion is because it benefits them in some way.

"Justice" is a propaganda term used in various literature. "Justice" is god given, or however you want to translate that. It's inherent. Laws are created by people, and they may be just, or unjust, but they're "legal".
That's how this comes to be.

Great money, no life. Money's easy to get. Life, not so much. Especially with kids and all. You only get one chance. They grow up, and that's it. If you missed it cause of work, I think you got a lame trade.

I've had 3 jobs my whole life. Newspaper(remember those??) delivery, bakery, land surveying. I'm conservative and risk averse, so when I hit surveying, it stuck. It checked all the boxes of "good enough". I started surveying at 18.

I'm not a programmer, but it's my understanding ODF is much simpler to implement. "Standards" aren't equal, and some only are due to fraud. The best standard should be default and required. Formats beyond that are user convenience only.

LoL!
I make no claims regarding this store. I became aware of it from amazon, but a lot of people are trying to avoid amazon, so this is what a search gave me. Could probably be found elsewhere.

I've been really happy with my time here, and everybody's been awesome. Feels like home.
I was never on twitter, but I heard the rumblings of dissent, and when I read what mastodon was, I thought it sounded cool as shit. I joined cause I wanted to try out some real non corporate web.
Here's to another 3 years to ∞ :^)

I actually get angry when people imply Jeri was just a T&A show. Like ready to punch someone. Her acting was fantastic, and her beauty was just a value add proposition AFAIC. She'd have hated it, but I'd have fine with her being full Borg the whole time. Would've made some interesting stories if she were.

The film is superfluous. I'd go just to drink beer and hangout with goats. The film just adds noise.

The following is spam:
Just a reminder that the Star Trek group linked above is a thing. Following the group, and mentioning it in Trek related discussions is a good way to get more interested eyes on your toot without having to use wall of text hashtag list, where it's hard to remember all the permutations, and could miss interested parties if one is forgotten.
I have no connection with the group, aside from being a follower. I just think it's a good idea.

I dunno. Sounds like a good way to go. I'd rather leave like someone hit the [Off] switch than slowly burn out like a failing computer.

It turned cold last night, so I got Spot's cathouse ready yesterday. My plan to line it with mylar bags didn't really work out, so I just folded it in place, and used a couple small pieces of thermal bubblewrap I used last year. Added some old poly robes that belonged to my daughter.
It's gratifying seeing Spot in her house, cause a lot of times when you do sonething for a cat, they say "Fuck that noise", and won't use it :^D

I starting replying to your last toot, and bailed, cause I don't understand the situation enough to comment. I don't understand why ARM is so different than typical x86, where you can't incrementally update, instead of flashing a whole new ROM.
Change the bits that are a security issue, and leave the rest. Most of it would probably work anyway without doing anything.

LGM is definitely the winner tonight. DS9 did amazing work with the Ferengi. They went from an annoying clown show in TNG, to a first class race with a deep look into the characters.

The VOY ep Live Fast and Prosper that recently played got me thinking about what aliens would really look like. It was convenient finding a white woman and black man that could plausibly play Janeway and Tuvok to the unfamiliar.
I'd LOVE to see what real aliens look like out there. Human-like at all? It's deeply frustrating being able to look out at the cosmos, but not see anything. I'd give anything for a warp drive...

I can't believe you guys are letting this fine feline lose to a dog! This is all of mastodon in a single post. It's got a cat, and it's got Trek. That's mastodon!
You have to give an email address, and the couple 'minute' mails didn't work, but I used one from my main provider, and it worked fine. Anything weird happens, it can be burned down.

That's what separates Trek from most scifi, and where it really shines. Doesn't *have* to be a courtroom, but dialog heavy, and a thoughtful lesson that can be extrapolated to current life/situations. Gives you more to think about than 'good guys won'.
