Not only hospitalized. I just recently stopped needing it at home! For 5 years I was on 24/7 IV nutrition & hydration & I had to use heparin twice a day changing my lines! There are very many people on IV nutrition, hydration, home IV, etc. Most people have no idea where the ingredients in med supplies come from, like when medical saline supply from Puerto Rico stopped during hurricane Maria, & the epi pen shortage! It’s so dangerous for more than anyone realizes. 😢

I remember being maybe 12 in Kona, HI. I didn’t know of anyone on the island with cable TV. My best friend would go to Honolulu to visit family sometimes & they DID have cable on Oahu! She brought back a video tape of MTV!! 😳 Wendy O. was on that tape! Hers & Motley Crue “Live Wire” are the only ones I remember. She was so damned cool! Made a lasting impression for sure. Thanks for the flashback! RIP Wendy. 🌷

I picture the scene from, O’ Brother Where Art Thou. The politician exposes he’s a klan member & calls for the band on stage to be apprehended. He’s yelling, “Is you is, or is you aint my constituency?!?” And a group marches in, picks him up over their heads & marches out & the crowd goes wild. A girl can dream.

Yes. I have thought this was the case since the first term. When his supporters at his rallies were wearing shirts that said, “I’d Rather Be Russian Than Democrat”. Mind blowing coming from people claiming to be staunch patriots. All images of them together screams it. Every action he takes validates it. That’s what’s so crazy to me about the electeds falling in line. Seriously, my gampa was 1 of the Hollywood 10 & this is traumatizing & insulting to millions.

I was reading this to my teen & when I got to the illegal rape part, she said, “Rape is not illegal in america.” 😒 From the mouth of babes. Not only is she essentially right, but one of the worst parts about having a president that’s been convicted of such, & become president, in lieu of consequence, means everyone knows that! Not having legal protections that work is how we got here.

True. It can only be raised a specific %/$ in a specific time frame. Though, it’s extremely hard for many people, especially desperate ones, to have the time, money, information, access, & will to fight it, or another place to go. That’s what they count on. 😞

thank you for the reminder. All of that was so much easier without having to house a child myself. 😭 My whole life has been abuse & fighting for survival. My instincts are to gtfo! it feels foolish to complain when so many are in more danger & have endured this crap for far longer. We just don’t have the family solidarity or community most marginalized communities know.

yes. Im a silver lining master & thats what i remind myself & tell my teen all the time. But doing that by yourself everyday while you slowly lose everything is not in my wheelhouse. I don’t want to fall so deep into despair that I have no way of escaping. And i feel it creeping in.

my teen messaged me this morning from school. They had to watch the election stuff in class. She was made aware that a number of her friends are trumpers. They are all immigrants or have birth right cirizenship. Shes in tears that they may be deported, one commented that his parents have made preparations in case they’re deported & leave him behind. But they are all still trumpers, because… the economy, grocery & gas prices!!! Its absurd. Just absurd. Just 😔

California is supposed to be an abortion safe state for out of state patients to receive care. However, most police departments in our state have been taking out of state license plate info & ratting them out to their state. Newsome specifically put out ads telling people it was safe to come here, but as far as i know, this is still occurring, even though its blatantly against the law. Dems are unserious about ensuring patient safety. https://www.eff.org/press/releases/civil-liberties-groups-demand-california-police-stop-sharing-drivers-location-data
