I've only had 2-3 underwire bras and have been avoiding them since.

I'm getting really sick of people telling me to have fun and dance with my whole body only to later tell me to shrink down so I fit in the group better. I'm 5'10" and highly visible on stage. If I shrink too much it looks more awkward than me dancing slightly bigger than everyone else. And I'm so used to being squished, so aware of how little space I'm given to move, I'm usually the one who gets bumped into or worse.
I'm not trying to upstage anyone! I'm just physically bigger, so yeah, people's eyes are drawn to me. I can't help it, so I decided it was better to lean into it and PERFORM. Yet they still try to fit me in a small window. They still ask me to be less visible when that's actually impossible and will result in objectively worse dancing.

Reminds me of this artist who did a talk at my university. One of his pieces was a baseball bat stuck straight upright in a bucket full of lard. My friend and I still haven’t figured out what it means.

That one friend who makes you side eye them every so often.
Talks about how nice and easy it was to make a flyer for her running group using AI in a room full of artists.
Plots how to get the cheapest childcare possible out loud and then puts you on a shortlist for last minute childcare.
Drops one athletic pursuit because it was too hard on her body only to go to an objectively rougher athletic pursuit.

So I recently watched a musical that had no real dancing. Just "stylized movement," as it is sometimes called. It got me wondering...
Does anyone else require at least one good dance number to feel a musical is worth the time?
