these videos we see online of Police brutality always lack context. it always seem the protester get snatched randomly for no apparent reason , with stress on "apparent" here. We never know what lead to this, as the poster often actively omits the act of defience that lead to the police action, which btw may have occures long ago too. but fair enough, sometime it is actually random retalliation, depending the orders they just got in their earpiece.
So i try not to take sides. But per definition, police tend to hardly get my sympathy most of the time.

At the consuming end of this , I am excited. More toys.
As a supporter of FOSS, DIY and critic of for-profit-ideology, I am inclined to appreciate the slow burn. But....
As being part of the Music Tech industry ( mostly analog hardware so not really at direct risk here ) , I have compassion from my Devs collegues who fear fro their platforms and therefore for the future of their revenue.

Phewww... some crazy stuff has been happening in the #MusicTech world lately.
As #vibecoding "democratizes" software engineering, it was only a matter of time before powerful AI got used to decompile proprietary software. In other words, with very little DSP knowledge but enough AI tokens and time, reverse engineering almost any software is becoming accessible to the masses.
As found on some subreddits and reported by Bitwig power user and YouTube figure @polarity , some people have hacked into the application code of #AbletonLive and #BitwigStudio. They've created new devices, added enhanced features, cross ported devices from Ableton to Bitwig, etc. Before you get too excited: this isn't for everyone, as it seems you must patch the software again every time to use these mods.
Obviously this breaches the Terms of Service, and very likely IP rights and whatnot. The people behind these hacks say they never redistribute proprietary code, so in their view no IP is violated. I'm no jurist, so I don't know.
That said, none of this feels driven by bad intentions. It looks more like passionate Bitwig users who want more stuff, faster, and turn to DIY to get it. There's something friendly about it, which makes it hard to have a clear cut opinion. But then why not just use external plugins?
From what I can see on my Bitwig skewed side of the interwebs, Bitwig GmbH is the most affected here. The only Ableton case I've read about is the Glue Compressor being ported to Bitwig. Also worth mentioning: Ableton gave its users a similar playground with Max for Live long ago. Anyway, as far as I know, Bitwig hasn't publicly reacted yet.
But what can you do? 🤷 One thing is for sure: it won't disappear. You either facilitate it (give it a frame and hope to keep some control over your software) or you fight it. Either way, it will cost Bitwig extra resources they surely didn't plan for. Third option: don't react, just observe and use it as a testing ground for ideas. But how long can you stay neutral? When is it too late?
The broader long term picture looks grim for DSP developers, though. If every AI user gets the memo that they can not only modify or fork existing software but build a complete solution for their own needs from scratch, what's the future of music tech as a whole? Even hardware: if I'm not happy with the software on, let's say, my #AkaiForce (true story btw.), with enough time and tokens I might even program my own. Hmmm.
And even broader: any software can be reverse engineered, including in industries far more critical than music production (finance, databases, defense...). To be fair, that has probably always been true in the computer security and intelligence world, with or without AI. But now it's just obvious to everyone. Scary!

No. We need nuance. We must refuse to conveniently adapt our reasoning on complex issues to the boundaries of short content formats. Memes are the perfect tool for nefarious actors to let inconsistencies like this slide as humorous, and slowly but surely invade peoples minds.
In this example, that means conflating an entire population or ethnic group with the politics of its government.
And no, elections do not represent the opinions of citizens accurately, especially in a religious state, though in truth this applies everywhere. If elections could really rock the boat, they simply would not be tolerated.
Inaccuracies like this then allow Zionists to dismiss nuanced speech as Jew hatred, feeding the very beast they pretend to slay.

first if you have any chance to upgrade your 8 track for another version on bitwig's website, do it.
I know they changed their restricted version scheme over the years.
some things to dive into:
- every device (internal or third party) has modulator slots. so you can add modulation sources to anything.
-the sampler device is pretty damn good , especially when you start adding modulators tobget things moving.
- get your head around the remote control pages concept. they are not like Ableton's macros.
