Pauline Hanson has again made clear her party's "welfare only for the deserving poor" a.k.a. eugenics policies.
I mean it's pretty standard for fascist political parties.
She said the PM's dead mum, who was a single mother and was on the DSP (Disability Support Pension) and lived in public housing, which was a good thing that our government did that back then (btw, she would likely no longer qualify for).

That's eugenics people.

You do know what happened *during* or *after* the French and Russian revolutions, yes?
They were bloody, millions were killed.
We're still dealing with the consequences of the Russian revolution with the war in Ukraine. Not to mention the Holodomor.
The aftermath of the French revolution was chaos and blood. See Robespierre and the "Reign of Terror".
It wasn't until later that the democracy of the French republic emerged.
Revolutions, by and large, just replace the previous authoritarian regime with another equally or even more oppressive regime.

The chief problem Australian governments have with the so-called "cost blowout" with the #NDIS is that they wildly underestimated the number of people with disabilities.
I expect part of the reason for this is that they weren't being provided with sufficient supports and as such weren't participating in society as they would have liked. Hence, many were invisible, as were their carers, being unable to participate in paid work.

Doesn't everyone find this with friend/work colleague groups in real life?
At least I've found, for instance sharing music interests with chemistry colleagues (quite some time ago) was disastrous. Apparently my favourite Australian band were "shit" apparently.
Speaking to friends (with whom I share common music interests) about science is met with derision.

I get that the premise of the movie is that the *world* economy has collapsed *and* the US has turned into a totalitarian hellscape.
Recent world events has clearly demonstrated that the US can turn into a totalitarian hellscape entirely independent of the rest of the world's economy collapsing.
I'm sure the whole *not being able to afford basic medication* is very relatable in the US. It's just not something most people have to worry about in the rest of the world's developed democracies.

There's a huge series of Prussian Blue analogues that exhibit ferromagnetism or ferrimagnetism at mostly sub Liq Nitrogen temps. However some non-stoichiometric Vanadium based analogues have Tc values that are quite high. From memory they're around room temp. Considering my knowledge is 20 years out of date there's prob been more advances.
