@nprofile…3jwj @nprofile…xsn9 I had a similar experience in Brazil. They all thought it was hilarious that the Canadian was cold and I had to explain that the rare time we weren't in a heated environment, we had special clothing. Brazilians will just put on a sweater.

@nprofile…fynq I don't really understand Venmo (I don't think we have it here) but I feel like a tiny part of this is on them. Why have a payment app have anything public by default?

@nprofile…wuyc I'm deeply uncomfortable with having two classes of citizenship. Canada is a country of immigrants and most of us have someone "not born here" not too far back in the family tree.
Citizenship isn't a reward for ideological purity and shouldn't be weaponized. We have plenty of racist fascists who were born in Canada, and I'd prefer we spend our time and resources fighting that.

@nprofile…wuyc I get why this is funny, but I don't love the idea that we revoke someone's citizenship just because they're unpopular.
Let's just tax non resident billionaires instead :)

Anytime you're looking to criminalize homelessness, I think you should be required to put a pricetag on it #OnPoli

@nprofile…args will she do "Woe is Me, for I Have Never Been Fed In My Life" for an encore? I've heard it's quite popular.

Did you catch the sound of thousands of small businesses screaming? The logistics of having to totally redo your point of sale system and then put it back again after two months will be expensive in time and money.
Also, they need you to spread out your Christmas shopping. Instead, everyone will now hold off on purchases and those 10 days before Christmas will be bonkers.
