An illegal alien from Guatemala is in custody after he allegedly attempted to abduct an Amish woman at knifepoint in rural Pennsylvania last week, authorities say.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) just provided Border Hawk with immigration background on Junior Jose Davila Moran, 26.
The harrowing incident unfolded at around 4 p.m. on Oct. 14 in Sadsbury Township.
A 23-year-old Amish woman was doing yard work when she felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around to find a man holding a serrated knife and handcuffs, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed by the Pennsylvania State Police.
The woman told authorities she yelled and used a weed whacker to scare the suspect, who ran behind a barn and fled on foot.

Second largest data center in the world proposed in Fife?!
on Sept 4, hundreds gathered in Edinburgh, Scotland, to protest a planned data centre in Auchtertool, Fife, which would be the second largest in the world. In a campaign led by the NGO Action to Protect Rural Scotland, protestors called for a pause in development until the Scottish government produces analysis on the centre’s environmental impacts and clear planning criteria for what counts as a green datacentre.

@nprofile…47ch Interesting region of Germany that is renowned for fabricating the cuckoo clock.
Clockmaking became more and more important for the rather poor Black Forest area. It is known for example that in 1808 in Triberg, and the surrounding villages, 790 of 9013 inhabitants were involved in the clock-making. In 1850 the Herzog (Duke) of Baden founded a School for clock-making in Furtwangen, where students learned math and drawing as well as making cases and movements for the clocks.

GERMANY- Police train officials in self-assertion seminars. In an emergency, the triggering of one's own gag - the "vomit" - should stop a rapist from his attack.
Diepholz district - According to figures from the BKA, sexual assaults and rapes have been increasing in Germany for years. To ensure that government employees with customer contact are prepared against possible attacks, the police in the region regularly train on this topic and give tips for such emergencies. One measure: Use your finger to trigger your own gag in your throat to vomit yourself. The disgust caused by the vomiting should effectively stop the instinct attack of a perpetrator.

A hand-stitched embroidery inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry has been discovered hidden in the attic of a village school. The 23ft-long (7m) artwork was found covered in cobwebs at Uffington Church of England Primary School in Lincolnshire. Thought to date from the 1960s or 1970s, nobody at the school knows exactly when it was made or who spent hours stitching its historical scenes. Head teacher Andrew Evans said he "couldn't believe it" when it was uncovered. Similar to the original, the school's tapestry also tells the story of the Norman conquest of England and the Battle of Hastings in 1066.

Aha! So the whole dinghy small boat thing is out - they’re ESCORTED by both French and Britain government vessels the entire way. Zero explanation how these women were burned. Why put on this show? Why not transport safely and fly them in or drive them across the Channel? It’s all OPTICS to pull heartstrings- and the people protesting are on to it.
On Sunday evening, several rescued people were seen arriving at a marina in Gosport after being transported onboard two RNLI boats. Their dinghy was shadowed by French rescue vessels while in the Channel until it was met by RNLI boats in English waters, according to ship tracking data.

😐 I predict fraud.
New York City plans to give up to $100,000 in taxpayer dollars for their first home. It won’t ask if you are here illegally. And the city made sure to let illegal immigrants know this. They don’t need a Social Security number, can bypass traditional credit checks, and can use municipal credit checks, at least initially.
The City’s HomeFirst program gives $100,000 for a down payment or closing costs.
The City’s website says, “You will not be asked about your immigration status when you apply.”

@nprofile…p288 didn‘t you post the original story awhile back on the bare nails? It’s been deemed racist and was removed.
The original article, "How the bare nails trend became a class issue," explored the beauty trend of women preferring clear and polished "naked" nails over the more stylish nail designs over the past few years.
The BBC reported that while some consider this trend part of the ever-shifting standards in fashion, critics suggested the image said "something about class" and could potentially stigmatize Black, Latino and Asian communities that popularized heavily designed nails.

😐 I heard about this shooting in California yesterday, it has taken a bizarre twist:
A New York Times tech executive who was allegedly shot dead by his elderly in-laws in California was in a vicious war with them and his estranged wife for being transgender, according to court documents.
Jonathan McKinsey’s wife, Candice Jang, filed for a restraining order against him in 2025, and he replied by filing a restraining order of his own.
McKinsey claimed Jang had tried to pull medical tubes out of his body when he was transitioning from a woman to a man in 2010, the restraining order records, obtained by The Mercury News, said. The two married in 2011.

A school district in southeastern Pennsylvania opted to remove a policy to help students keep so-called gender transitions secret from parents, according to a Monday statement from the legal nonprofit Alliance Defending Freedom, or ADF. The policy change came months after the advocacy group sent the district a letter alleging that the policy violated the Constitution. Chester County Intermediate Unit 24 school district policy required teachers to not only affirm students’ chosen gender identity at school, but to hide the so-called transition from parents, the ADF reported. The district also maintained a database to keep track of how much parents knew of a child’s transition and what information teachers should refrain from sharing, the group added.

I found a dead rabbit near my pool. Killed last night but it just a wound on its hind quarter leg, seemed survivable-I’m wonder if something tried to grab it but it got away and died from a heart attack, it wasn’t chewed up at all. 🙁 I’m going with these spiritual meanings:
Celtic and Tribal Traditions: View the rabbit as a symbol of cleverness and fortune; a dead rabbit can sometimes foretell good luck or the end of a difficult, struggling period.
Biblical and Spiritual Cleansing: Because rabbits are viewed in some traditional contexts as symbols of vulnerability or impurity, a dead rabbit can represent shedding spiritual "dead weight" or purging a negative habit.
Also today is my birthday and my 1 year Spinsterversary.

Child trafficking
Authorities found a 15-year-old girl inside the car who had been reported missing, along with two adult males.
“An investigation revealed the two accused had picked up the youth earlier that day and would not allow them to leave the vehicle,” CBSA explained in a press release.
Officers learned the men had been planning to bring the victim to a hotel before they made the wrong turn.
Sahan Alam, 40, of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and Hasan Al-Mamun, 29 of Sudbury, Ontario, were arrested and each charged with kidnapping.
The victim was reunited with her mother.

I saw these apologetic messages about British colonialism often, this one even apologized for a mediocre display acknowledging colonialism. There was a separate large board with the content warning shown here bottom right.

$35,000 payout.
Forcing transgender people to reveal past names and "out" themselves when applying for jobs amounts to discrimination, a tribunal has found.
The conclusion was drawn as a health worker won a substantial payout for indirect discrimination suffered during an internal recruitment process.

I saw two of these fly low over me at home making unusual squeaky calls, my neighbor says they nested in the woods nearby he’s seen the young juvenile Cooper’s hawk observing squirrels from his deck railing, though their usual meal is other birds. We mostly have red-tailed hawks and great horned owls here.

It’s likely ketamine or MDMA (ecstasy) or both.
“Chemical analyses of drugs sold as MDMA have shown that they may be adulterated, meaning they contain other types of drugs, perhaps without the purchaser knowing it. These hidden ingredients have included ketamine, amphetamine, synthetic cathinones (“bath salts”), 3,4-methylinedioxy-amphetamine (MDA), and methamphetamine.”
