At some point in every #Bitcoin ers life there is a pivotal decision to be made:
It's either a secure pension and an inheritance for his children or this:

Not sure if I'm suffering from AI psychosis but it looks like I just replicated the CAD kernel and some basic functionality from a famous CAD software package with Ghidra and REA with four or five prompts.
There is no doubt in my mind that proprietary & commercial software is over and I'm not sure how all these shops will be able to survive.
There is also a good chance that native napplets (or something very similar) are a natural next step in this story.
I also encountered some Twitter wisdom recently that takes a similar line.

The fresh canon meat will be drafted via it's debts.
The general public will have 4 choices:
- enlist in a satanic, for-profit war and die
- pay of the the debt to avoid being drafted (this will be increasingly difficult because, coincidentally, interest rates will experience an unprecedented rise as the war drums beat louder)
- risk exclusion from the financial system and therefore from civil society
- adopt #Bitcoin

I figured out how to implement reliable YouTube to blossom ripping on wavefunc.live - I'm simply shipping yt-dlp with all the apps. No issues with blocked ips, no server costs. Edge and public infrastructure only. I ❤️ AI
While testing I have already built up a small music library. Check it out here: https://wavefunc.live/signals
So now, if you're listening to internet radio on #wavefunc, not only can you bookmark the song and it's metadata but also have the video or audio file on a blossom server of you choice.

Yes but it is not compatible with the standard clients because of a slightly different MLS usage. In short there is friction between canonical map data in the group and late joiners (they need to see datasets drawn before they joined). So you can only join via earthly: https://earthly.city/privategroup/0a7d7d47-07ea-4ca9-a00d-34ca3d2dcab9?private-invite=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

Your liberties can't be taken away from you because they are god given and eternal. People just choose to comply because the fear the real or imagined repercussions. To a big degree it's a choice.
It does indeed make it less bad because not only is it a personal way out but it also gives you the opportunity to be an example for others.
If you've watched the recent legislation carefully you would see that the vast majority of it relates to big tech on the operator side. Neither e2e encryption per se nor self hosting are criminalized. Code is still free.
As legacy big tech enters it's winter it's just natural that the governments (all of them) claim additional controls in an attempt to "freeze the situation".
This is why I personally prefer to view these developments as an emergent process and surf them instead of fighting windmills.

GM
When people talk about the job market in the AI future and the "inevitable knowledge worker purge" they all seem to picture some kind of a "Planet of the Apes" scenario.
This all naivety assumes that, while the tools become increasingly powerful, the scope and quality of whatever one was building before stays the same. If you vibed something greenfield in last year, you know empirically that this is not true. The software and the systems are becoming more abstract and complex.
And when we thought we captured the complexity butterfly it slipped through our fingers and landed on another, more fragile branch above our heads prompting us to climb higher. The climbing will never stop.
