Planning out what to say when I go to see the doctor. Ugh.
I wish there were more forms or other ways of giving doctors information, talking is great, and needed, but it can feel so rushed that I leave things out.
But if you come in with too much "research" you make the doctor worried you are either a hypochondriac or second-guessing them.
My doctor is generally pretty awesome I feel confident if she just has the whole set of information she'll make a good recommendation.

I'm looking for a mutex-type tool I can run in a distributed system on a LAN to arbitrate access to a shared resource that only supports a single user at a time.
What's the easiest way to do this?
At a high level what I want to do is have a shell script running in multiple CI jobs that does
* acquire lock, blocking if necessary
* run tests that require shared resource
* release lock
If the tests fail or hang and the CI VM is forcibly terminated by the scheduler, this needs to (by a socket timeout, TCP RST, or similar) release the mutex within a reasonable time frame.

It's only taken a few years to play it, but I finally got into Talos Principal 2. I don't like the fact that you have to deal with other robots instead of isolation, the travel distance between puzzles is "atmospheric" (too big), and the philosophizing feels lazy compared to the original. The puzzles are fun enough to recommend it anyway, I am hoping it doesn't get as difficult as the first game's DLC because I gave up on that partway through.
