For anyone who cares, Stanford rapist Brock Turner has changed his name to Allen Turner, so if you find yourself next to, or being introduced to, someone named Allen Turner, please inquire if they are the same person as the rapist Brock Allen Turner. We really need to stop these people and affect their lives as badly as they affected their victims.

@nprofile…eqsh And this is BEFORE the price of oil goes up by 25%, because Canada is no longer selling oil to the US at a 25% discount beginning next month, I believe. OMG.

Well, I have walked myself into plantar fasciitis, so I didn't know a person could do that. Don't exercise more than 30 minutes each day, unless your doctor tells you that's what you need to do. Anything over that, you're not benefiting from it anyway. I was exercising for up to an hour or two in addition to THREE 20-minute walks per day immediately after meals; AND a 2-3 mile walk every other day.
Why was I doing that? WHY?

2026-07-19 15:35:50 UTC

I don't even like myself much any more because the news each day is just so monstrous and horrible. The US is committing war crimes in the middle east and the whole world seems paralyzed and unable or unwilling to respond.

https://www.nbcnews.com/world/germany/german-conservative-politician-resigns-pressure-surrogate-baby-rcna588154?utm_source=firefox-newtab-en-us
I don't even know what is wrong with these people. You want to deny OTHER people the right to love who they will, but YOU want those rights for YOURSELF, and you're SHOCKED when your own conservative brothers and sisters CRUSH you to ensure it doesn't happen in THEIR ranks. Sick.

@nprofile…0je7 It's been a bit of a pain lately, literally as well as figuratively, habibi. I feel like I'm making a little progress, and try for a little more joy in my life, only to be dragged down to earth by this spine I did not order. I know I need to go talk to a spine surgeon, but I'm terrified of what they might tell me, and really depressed. Sorry. You have your own grief to struggle with. I am still here for now, just quietly.

The vitriol she spewed daily was cruel, hurtful, and mean, and all her kids left home as soon as legally permitted. And yet, this woman has all my sympathy, and her husband NONE.

How would you feel if you woke up one day, and somebody showed you that the Tesla cybertruck design was based on something from the 1980s?
@npub1ztp…yc48 tells me they're called Kammbacks and I can check them out at https://oldconceptcars.com/, if I want to.
Elon Musk is such a pile of shit.

@npub10sy…cdrt I know they haven't a leg to stand on. But this SC has proven all too willing to destroy precedent to reach its ends.

These motherfuckers never stop reaching for new lows, I'm telling you. The GOP is now attacking Kamala Harris, claiming she cannot be POTUS bc of Dred Scott:

Let me just come over there and step on y'all's necks and stretch them out so I can hear you squawk. The entire GOP needs to go in YESTERDAY'S trash heap.

Harvested some tomatoes this past week. Ashamed to admit, we ate most of the cherries. They were beautiful little round bombs of tomato juice, which started out green, paled to white, then turned yellow, peach, orange, and finally, a deep garnet red.
There were also some BEAUTIFUL golden tomatoes I'd never seen before. The only yellow tomatoes we had were the little yellow pears, not very tasty, a bit acid, and about the size of my (longish) fingertip. Now, we have 6-8 oz golden tomatoes ...

Whoop-de-doo-dah! Trump has appointed professional ghoul impersonator Rick Scott, and KNOWN Russian puppet Ron Johnson to stand outside the DNC convention yelling abuse at Harris.

There's an election this year, right? And J.V. Vance is running?
This dumbass motherfucker is insulting every potential voter in this country! Every day I wake up, someone NEW is on his hate list. Brace yourselves. Today's target is Irish, Italian, and German immigrants from before WW II.

Folks, I know self-interest is always more likely to be the driver of y'all's actions, so please remember:
A significant proportion of doctors, scientists, technicians, engineers, programmers, and analysts are brown people;
If you're poor and reliant on rural clinics or urban care centers, your doctors and nurses might vanish overnight;
There are 11 MIL Latinos in this country, and MANY of them work in the food and hospitality industries, construction, etc.
It's gonna hurt ya.
