I will never forget the hundreds of detailed emails I received from all over the country from parents who had experienced exactly what I detailed from the clinical perspective- that they had experienced from the parent perspective.
One of the overwhelming emotions that they expressed was that they finally felt seen and believed.

I agree with a limited grandfather clause- it there has been surgical removal of gonads then sex hormones are necessary- and limited case reports of Detransitioners have made clear that the specific sex hormone should be patient led.
But I do not agree with blanket grandfather clauses- the long term risk profile is too great.

Different but important assessment from @npub1dnn…q0a6 regarding the woke mindset in [@wpath](https://bird.makeup/users/wpath )
The humor aside- we knew that our patient population was white, upper middle class, as primarily liberal young people whose parents had the means to bring them to a pediatric gender center.
Where that humor comes crashing down for me was in the spike in 18-21 year old black young men who had experienced years of homophobic abuse, who were feminine and sought to medically transition because it was a way out of that abuse.

Today the LGB Courage Coalition testified in Ohio in support of HB 693. Afterward we wrote to the Democratic members who questioned us — as gays and lesbians — to say: you cannot pivot to bread and butter issues until the party reckons with this one.
We supported the idea of the transgender child without the medical evidence to back it. Country after country in Europe has now restricted these practices after systematic review. The evidence was never what we were told it was.
The path back to disaffected liberals runs directly through this issue. They are not going to set it aside. The party needs to be able to say: we got this wrong. Until it can, many of us cannot come home.

John Oliver has decided to call me a liar today. That’s fine… 10 years from now when he tries to pretend like he never supported castrating feminine little boys, or cutting the breasts off of teen girls. I will remember. I just hope you will too.

“For 40 years Iran has performed more gender transition surgeries than many other nations, largely a result of pressuring gay and gender-nonconforming citizens to undergo unwanted operations or risk the death penalty.”
That’s a quote from the @npub1an9…krup today. ⬆️
Gay?
Death or transition. That’s Iran.
And we have a culture so ill, now the gays and gender non conforming people from around the world are paying for their own destructive operations in IRAN.

The episode concludes with a list of states banning puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries for children and young people. It feels as if the @npub1an9…krup is blaming me for these state laws.
Guess what? I wish I could take credit for each and every one of them. Do not think that I have any regret at all for supporting these bans; I do not. I support legislative efforts to protect kids from experimental interventions that harm many, in every single state.

It's Saturday, June 7, 2025. If you're new to following me and just listened to the @npub1an9…krup podcast called 'The Protocol,' welcome.
That episode, recorded two years ago, was challenging to hear. Listening to it now, I realize how much more I understand, which is precisely how growth and scientific understanding evolve—over time. I now know that the 'one true trans kid' discussed is most likely a homosexual who would have their fertility, sexual function, and healthy endocrine system compromised.

Greater proportion of the women on T experienced VCD then the women not on T. 5.8% v 2.4%
VCD is the separation of the edges of the vaginal cuff, which is the tissue that is sutured together after the uterus is removed.
Symptoms include: Vaginal discharge, Pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen, Feeling of fullness or pressure in the vagina, and Protrusion of organs through the vagina (evisceration).

A small group of clinicians in the Netherlands went fishing.
What they were seeking to do was to find the children that would go on to have ‘lifetime’ troubles with their biological sex and intervene when they were young.
Why?
Because the transsexual adults that they were working with were not doing very well. Let me repeat that- the transsexual adults were not doing very well.
When they cast out the first net and looked at what they caught, they found a net filled with gay and lesbian young people, I will call these children proto gay. We know that they were gay and lesbian young people because they told us so, they told us that as adolescents they were same sex attracted.
So, they took this first catch and they transitioned them. Not because they knew with any certainty that they would go on to have lifetime troubles with their biological sex, but because society has a problem with the way that gays and lesbians live within their sex.
We were expendable. We were ok to be harmed, and have our endocrine systems destroyed with wrong sex hormones. We were ok to have our fertility taken away. We were ok to have our sexual function stripped away.
Then the British went fishing and they cast a wider net and the times they were changing. This time they caught the proto gay young, and the vulnerable- the children with autism, with trauma. And they transitioned them.
Then the American’s caught wind and they cast the widest net along, they cast their nest across this country, in every state and area they cast a net and pulled in what they could catch and now we began to see a problem.
They were still catching the proto gay kids, the vulnerable, children with autism, mental health concerns, trauma, but now they were catching a new group. A group of girls influenced by tik toc and hurt by covid lock downs, a group of straight girls, with private insurance and caring liberal parents and they transitioned them all.
And now the problem became clear. As those girls began to realize what had been done to them and they stepped forward and said stop this is hurting us. Now we see a response. Now we see the world react.
It was a crisis when it was the Dutch and the proto gay kids.
It was a crisis when it was the British and the proto gay kids and the autistic kids.
It is a global crisis now and everyone needs to fucking stop fishing.

In this case the divorced parents do not agree on medicalization for this child. Dad is in support of hormones- Dad's new partner also has a teenage girl.
Both teenage girls in the home are trans identified and in a relationship with each other. This is what I would have called a red flag case.

New from the UK, court rules to not allow a 16 year old girl to move ahead with hormones. Why this is important- 16 year olds are usually judged to be able to make medical decisions in the UK.
