It's a tool for translators to quickly translate Amethyst into their language.
They want me to pay $4,300/yr to allow our translators to use the platform.

Thanks for fixing this so quickly. I verified the Quartz commits — the depth cap covers exactly the reported root cause, including the ingest-time verifyState path. Happy to test on-device once an Amethyst build shipping the fixed Quartz is out. For credit, npub only is still perfect. Thanks again!

Do they run on the phone? We cannot use ANYTHING that moves data to a server to translate.

They should have called the MacBook Surface just for the lols.
It's basically NIP-44-encrypted nsec saved in the provider's relays with a large key created by your Password Manager.
The provider can't decrypt your key. And the Password manager doesn't have the encrypted file to decrypt. The browser then just gets the file, gets the key and decrypts it on demand.
Since the Password manager is shared with your devices, the key to decrypt is every where you need. But, at least currently, the encrypted key is only with the provider, like a nostr client.
Haven't seen a standard for that
though what's your thoughts on it?
it's been a while since i looked into it, but I'm not a fan of it considering (and i might be wrong?) you can extract and use those keys elsewhere

Hi @vitorpamplona — I found a bug in Amethyst 1.20.0 where a single crafted event makes the app unable to start (crash loop, verified on a real device, no user interaction needed). I'd like to report it responsibly, but I don't want to expose a GitHub account. Could I send the details via DM instead? Happy to be credited by npub only.

Nothing wrong with using custodial accounts for small amounts.
But at least use the sincere ones.
Also custodials are good decoy if you know how to use it.
