Not all "clocks" use entropy though. Computers use frequencies, and can't keep perfect time, so they check themselves against a time server every 24 hours. The time servers are reading from atomic clocks.
Good morning Nostr!
Had the pleasure of visiting Comuna 13 in Medellín, Colombia this month 🇨🇴 Wondered if any of the shops there accepted Bitcoin, and was pleasantly surprised to find one in just minutes. 🙌

You have to... you must... you should...!!!
lol 😂 this one has a carbon monoxide detector as well. so, at least it has more purpose
Welcome
If you'd like some help about this weird protocol we call NOSTR I wrote some guides here:
https://mikehardcastle.com/
I would start with this one here for some basic concepts:
https://mikehardcastle.com/2024/08/26/nostr-a-social-media-protocol-for-the-next-epoch/
If you have questions, the tag #asknostr is a good place to start.
If you want to write a brief hello, use the #introductions hashtag to allow people to find and welcome you.
Enjoy freedom speech and money.
Welcome @npub1ran…8t7u to the NOSTR family everyone 😂

Yeah? I'm becoming more impatient to watch it!
I'll notice the stove clock is wrong for about a week before I'll get around to changing it. 😂
Here is a speedrun:
Very hot, boiling hot shower.
Take two aspirins and a vitamin c booster product. Drink it in a hot tea (or toddy if you want just make that)
Wear Long sleeve clothes and pants and socks and gloves (winter clothing)
Get in bed and wrap in blankets.
Sweat.
Wake up healed.
I'm going to say no to this one.
He was a big fan and advocate and he did interact with Bitcoin in several ways, but then lots of people did.

Did you use a net or a cage?
The guy who said he'd take a break from social media. Then went to X to be actually very active and they have since deleted their "I'm taking a break" on nostr.
Yes Odell, that's you.

An atomic clock is an entropy clock. We have a few atomic clocks around the world to which all other clocks are ultimately set. We use entropy to keep time in our modern world.

The colloquial for my penis
I was busy writing that when you decided to find out for yourself 😂
Yes, it was kept secret during the war and only leaked in the 1970's, so it didn't get credited as a contender for first computer to be invented.
It was a computer, but it wasn't a general purpose programmable computer, so you can argue about whether it's the first.
It's good to see when justice still eventually works out. Sucks he had to go through all that to get there.

This is completely wrong. There is no “last writer wins” in CRDTs, you’ve got to give up that CRUD mentality.
Stuffing all your followings into a single “follow list” event is the problem. CRDT fixes that because it persists a history of intents.
Imagine you are dealing with a monotonically increasing counter. You have two options to derive that counter:
A. Emit a state event with the current count every time it increases
B. Emit a increase counter event then derive the counter state by adding all the events
There is not enough context with A to converge into an unambiguous state automatically, that is why clients like Nostur have to ask what you want to do when they detect something “strange” happened.
It is also the reason why keeping an history of follow lists is a pointless exercise.

I filmed Colossus last time I was there, except it wasn't at Bletchley Park, because they fell out with the computer museum who actually owned it. And so the computer museum moved next door into a shitty building, leaving the beautifully appointed and lottery funded Bletchley park without its star exhibit 😂
