@nprofile…gl33 I've now stayed in my new place for a week and a half. And the old folks who concern themselves with the communal lawn outside have mown and thoroughly watered it twice.
I mean, it's nice they have something to do, but get in one of those massive hamster wheels and make some electricity for us, if you need some activity.

2026-07-20 15:05:40 UTC

The amount of water we use up for neatly trimmed lawns is kind of insane. I'm not against grass, I just think it's okay for grass to look patchy, yellow and contain all sorts of other plants.

Very busy day today, but pretty proud and psyched of what was accomplished. Shit's ordered for the home office, fridge and freezer have been cleaned and are ready for transport. Internet is taken care of (with a mild brain aneurysm to boot), paperwork for dissolving the lease contract has been done, and the first rent has been paid.
Tomorrow, apart from work, I'm not doing anything productive and am just going to enjoy the hell out of a first date 😊😁🎉
