Can you give examples? I have looked at few videos and all are good...
Please let us know through feedback so we can try and correct this (there is the audio feed from the microphone of the speaker and as backup also the microphone at the back of the room by the camera...)

I have been told that the feedback should be stored that it's just a redirect that's failing because of changes in schedule urls for these talks...

@nprofile…42n4 We tried to avoid talk proposals which looked like AI slop, ofcourse we didn't check every talk or slide set.
On every talk there should be a feedback button on the site. Please repoort this in feedback.

2026-01-31 15:06:58 UTC

For speakers who gave their talk, you should have received a mail with the link to review your recording. We encourage you to perform the review, the sooner it gets reviewed, the sooner it gets published on the site!

@nprofile…c4rj maybe a tip about clothes: wear layers so you can take off layers inside buildings and put them back on if you go outside.
Also there is a cloakroom in the back of K building

2026-01-21 22:05:27 UTC

- reply

@nprofile…c4rj yes this change was already flagged for last year but somehow got overlooked, also the coffee corner we had long time ago in lower Janson was removed as well as the colored building S (which we never used but somehow was not greyed out on the map liked the rest of the buildings we don't use)

@nprofile…zyls @nprofile…46aj It's all the same rail company here in Belgium, so any and all trains can be impacted. The page we linked on our transportation page is the official website from the National Belgian rail, any updates of cancelled trains or alternate schedules should be posted there a day ahead of strike day.

@nprofile…rgte had updated our transportation page this afternoon already and was creating a news post to highlight this (and another obstruction on the highway) which should be published just now...

@nprofile…v94x I think the parking has some height restrictions for campers and also it's winter time so sleeping in your car or a camper might be pretty cold. Also there is campus security making rounds so I am not sure they aren't going to chase you from the parking if they notice it.

Well we should get rid of the cash machine on our maps too, its not there anymore since a couple years but we each time forget to remove it :)

@nprofile…lx5n @nprofile…rtmv @nprofile…kz02 it has been discussed before but for us it would be a duplication effort with storage / systems we only have for short while around FOSDEM before we send it to our sponsored mirrors we don't own or control anymore, see https://github.com/FOSDEM/video/issues/79

No need to mail us for dates for FOSDEM 2025. We first need to have a meeting with the university - which was on summer break up to yesterday - for an agreement on the dates we have in mind. Once we have this fixed we'll put it in a news item on the site which should propagate on all social media channels too (if the bots didn't break over the summer holidays 😜 )

@npub1w5u…egep automatic posting services like dlvr.it long time ignored mastodon as a service... Had been looking for years for something like that, but had to do it by hand still... (just saw that dlvr.it actually highlights mastodon as a new supported service... I wonder why ;) ) The existing automations for posting our website RSS on twitter^X and Facebook were oddly enough not broken this year (usually have to give them a kick to restart after the summer break)
