Jazz is one of the few forms of music that rarely does anything for me (see also EDM).

Let's all meet up for #TOTP 2000

I don't understand the Ghostbusters vibe of this video, 3 years too late?

Oh god, I've never heard of that. Now I'm morbidly curious, but will resist!

That single was the first record I remember buying myself (from Macclesfield Indoor Market).
Not a cool one to have as a first.

That was also the case when they started having parties 3 years ago.
However, they've also got a lot more friends than I did, so the general volume level is quite high.

We've just got CostCo pizzas, nibbles and a house full of 20 year olds being (mostly) better behaved than they used to.
On my third Boddingtons tho.
I'd kill for a decent pork pie right now.

Been pondering today whether or not someone has already created an #AI version of ismy.blue
You'd have data points like:
* Skynet
* HAL
* Lt. Cmdr Data
* Generic chess playing program
* DeepBlue
* AlphaGo
* Inference engine
* Some machine learning example
* ChatGPT
* Voice recognition
* Siri
* Roomba
* Object recognition etc.
Strong vs weak AI is such an old #ComputerScience - or #philosophy - debate.
Problem, I suspect, is that blue-green is a clear linear/1D spectrum; whereas this'd require some discussion/thought on what the data points were, and where they were laid out in an n-dimensional space.

So many old tubes and record players!
I've limited myself to a couple of books (to avoid divorce).

Oh, thank you! That's just around the corner (almost literally) and I didn't know it was on today:

All I want is some extra masking tape to protect the circular saw cut on some IKEA hackery.
Used the last bit of the only roll we seem to have on cut one, and I've one more to do!
Suspect neither of us will be successful without moving.

#Nokia did a (soft) launch party for the #N900 at the BFI on the South Bank in London in September 2009.
lcuk had had a prototype, so we were able to do a cool demo: https://youtu.be/yk27PenpAz0

_EDIT:_ I note wryly that Nokia's blog post about this is now on the #Microsoft website: https://blogs.windows.com/devices/2009/09/04/n900-to-appear-in-london-next-week/

This was the conclusion I was getting to, but was still assuming I just hadn't found the One Right Answer.
I'm now wondering if I can buy a self-contained NVR (without disks), which has a decent (local) API for #HomeAssistant / #OpenHAB.
