Part 1: It was so nice to see a young person give up their seat for older person in the Metro, a rarity on public transport nowadays.
Part 2: I was the recipient of this generosity…

The shy Slender-billed scimitar babbler was in a generous mood and gave us a fair sighting!

@nprofile…y3fe This is such a nice list, thank you for putting it together. After having played around with the Fairphone 1 for a bit and daily-driving the Framework Laptop for over a year, I was a little sad about the inability of getting open hardware or repair friendly hardware in India. Last year I was seriously considering putting together a formal entity to bring open-hardware to India.

Feels good to have a pen restored by the makers themselves, thanks to Ranga Pens.
The Fountain Pen Show in Bangalore seemed to have greater footfall, and it was nice to see a lot of folks who were new to fountain pens there.

I finally cobbled together a better version of an init file for #Emacs, and it was a joy to use #orgmode for the process. I'd really appreciate any feedback on this init file, and pointers to doing this better. The repository is available at https://codeberg.org/bmp/forgemacs. I decided to put it all together in one big file as it is easier for me to search for packages I am using in a single place rather than go through multiple files, or even forget which file had which package.

@npub1eh4…m7ch if there ever is an online version of this, I’d love to be part of it.

@npub1qk5…jlda I’ve had good traction with https://consentomatic.au.dk/ from Aarhus University. Works fairly well across devices and the list is updated too.
