A Non-European Anarchism
By Aragorn!
The story of the people who have not written the history books, who have not built empires, and who have not aspired to lord over others is our history. To some extent, the nature of these times is that for this tale to be told, each of us have to make a commitment to it, to both write, speak and learn about the crevices and shadows in which the “winners” did not invade, and in which we live. This story of survival, of just getting by, is the story of the life of the vast (as in over 90%) majority of the people throughout time, throughout modern civilization. Survival is the only possibility when participation means what it does today.

A FOIA request was made to the city of Tempe, AZ regarding its usage of Flock cameras. Documents include sale point presentation, city-contracts of the sort, and city-based questionnaire including but not limited to; specific-fixed camera costs, purchase orders, and important dates.
We found it interesting that there is a specific clause in the contract stating that Flock will not boycott Israel. We have made all documents from the request available for download.
We urge you to submit FOIA requests of your own for other cities.

A Victory Statement: The Anarchist Block Party
Report Back (Phoenix, 6/14/25)
Last night in the streets of downtown Phoenix, a hundred of the valley’s troublemakers and anarchists secured a victory for their communities against the occupying Phoenix Police Department. Roosevelt Row was taken back for the people between 4th and 2nd, with no traffic control or intervention by PPD. All of that was handled by the protesters with whatever barricades or cones could be found around the area.
The people on the street Saturday proved that you need nobody’s permission to act. You don’t need a permit, or an organization, to represent yourself and your beliefs on the street. In an era where social networking and communication have been so decentralized to the point of the individuals voice being amplified to hundreds or thousands of onlookers online the cadre and logistical apparatuses loaned to us by organizations are obsolete.
This was a victory for the modern world over the old way of doing things, an expression of the power wielded by neighbors, friends, and comrades NOT parties, NGOs, or clubs.
Under the black flag of anarchy, a neighborhood was liberated for but a moment from the police. The people on the streets but also the people in the bars and sidewalks around us were in the hands of their fellow men and not clenched within the institutional fist of their normal existence.
This was but a taste of the way we could all live, all of the time, if we choose to embrace what we know to be real over what we’ve been told to believe in.
We know the bonds intimately that weave our lives into the communities because we feel them. We have to be instructed on the place that police, the state, the managers and the politicians have carved for themselves within our lives, out of our time, our sweat, and our blood.
If Saturday night showed someone that they can reclaim that all, and return what is theirs to themself, it is a step forward in the revolution.

The Balagoon Boxing Club
A Social Insurrectionary Project
Growing out of the strong antifascist movement in Philadelphia, anarchists have been fight training together here for the better part of a decade. The current iteration grew out of a group that would meet about once a week prior to the pandemic. A few people in Philly had taken advantage of some financially feasible trial periods at Muay Thai gyms or were more consistent in their Muay Thai training generally. People would take drills that stuck with them to the anarchist group, we would drill, and then finish out with sparring. Post-pandemic and George Floyd uprising, some people continued to train with friends in parks. This would wax and wane as Covid spiked up and down. Motivated by the changing reality of the political context in a post-Floyd uprising U.S., people continued to meet in parks and basements to train together three days a week. Factors such as the development of the Rise Above Movement and other fascist fight groups, increases in general xenophobic sentiment, the explicit right-wing fixation and pervasiveness of anti-queer and anti-trans hatred, and the need to defend oneself from police and counter-attack attack with frequency and intensity of rioting in the U.S.

Anarchist Parenting
“Respecting children and educating them well was vitally important to the process of revolutionary change. Ignorance made people particularly vulnerable to oppression and suffering. More importantly, education prepared people for social life. Authoritarian schools (or families), based upon fear, prepared people to be submissive to an authoritarian government [or within a capitalist workplace]. Different schools and families would be necessary to prepare people to live in a society without domination.” [Free Women of Spain, p. 133]

Tragedy, Sacrifice, and Radical Politics
My revolutionary strategy is to have a badass life. That might look crazy to some people, doing shit that might get me killed or put in prison. But does one question the rock climber who challenges their entire existence by free soloing? This person is not acting out of obligation to any cause (the cause of all rock climbers?). They are doing it because they need a challenge and resistance; they need to push their boundaries; they need the spark of life that occurs only at the edge of death; the freedom that only exists in the face of tyranny. This strategy of life is many-dimensional. It is not just militancy. It is not just striving. It is a flowing of desires as they change and adapt to circumstances. This is what I want for myself and others.

Strategizing to Stop Mass Deportations
Mass deportations will require massive logistics and infrastructure, providing a host of opportunities for intervention.
“In 2017, a single mass occupation at JFK Airport in New York sparked occupations involving tens of thousands of people around the country. Tactics spread rapidly when they are inspiring. What can you and your community do, right now, to prepare to inspire nationwide resistance to the deportation machine?”

"The First Thankstaking” by Klee.
"People posting about “decolonizing“ Thanksgiving.
I don’t care about how organic and locally sourced your cranberry sauce is. I don’t care if you symbolically “acknowledge” that the table you’re feasting on is stolen. I don’t care about how many tokens you brought to the table to redwash your guilt away. I don’t care who you’re going to vote for to sit and feast at that table or about honoring old pieces of paper with dead words that our ancestors were forced to sign.
Settler colonialism is first and foremost about land and power, no amount of “acknowledgements” are going to change that.
Pass the gravy? How about flipping the table and joining us in the fight to liberate our lands and people?"

"The deportations—and any struggle against them—will happen in physical reality, not on social media. If a dozen communities begin immediately organizing mass strategic resistance to deportation, researching logistical chains, outlining targets and strategic goals, and welcoming a diversity of participants and tactics, they could demonstrate effective resistance and light a signal fire for others around the country. If people get organized now and begin to map out and target the infrastructure for mass deportation before Trump takes office, they could seize the initiative, set the tempo, and force him to be the one to have to react."

Why You Shouldn’t Vote: Some Anarchist Positions Against Voting
"You can’t do everything. If you believe in voting, then you should want your candidates to win. Are you going to spend time trying to get people elected (canvassing, organizing, running for office), watching the polls, being enrapt in the sports-like competition spectacle between the two business parties before, during, and after the election, or are you going to spend time on projects that don’t depend on the outcome of an election (direct action, mutual aid, etc.)?
Voting transforms the voter (praxis). Engaging in representational politics (voting) transforms the voter. It changes the voter’s consciousness to believe in governance and its hierarchical social relations. Voting prevents the voter from developing capacities outside the political, the skills and social relationships needed to flourish without government. Rather than engaging directly with their lives, their friends, new autonomous projects, voting gets people to expect the government to do things for them. Voting weakens, disempowers, and disarms the voter, and reinforces social and economic relationships suitable to being governed.
Unity of means and ends. Using the state (voting) to achieve a society without government will strengthen, rather than weaken, government.
Policy is not morality. If you are a moralist, you should do what is morally correct regardless of what a government says. This makes the outcome of the election, and in turn voting, irrelevant: If the outcome fits what I consider moral, then government will do what I would be doing anyway, and if it does not, then government merely stands in the way of what I will do. To do otherwise, to vote and sit on one’s hands, is to treat the most important moral questions as games of chance.
Voting consents to entrenchment and consolidation of power. Voting consents to placing power in the hands of a minority of the powerful and opulent through their representatives in government. When they do things you don’t like, who are you to disagree? You consented to being dominated by them.
Voting requires waiting and hoping. You wait for the elections to roll around, even though things are urgent. You vote, then you wait to see who is elected, then you wait for them to come into office, then you hope that they will pass the laws that you want. If things don’t work out, you wait for the next election, and repeat the process.
Harm reduction is harmful. Voting as harm reduction does more harm than good. Accepting reforms through voting makes people settle for a partial goal; it is a concession. From this position of compromise, the state entrenches its position, and it becomes more difficult to push further, for voters fear losing their partial gains. Accepting harm reduction also divides the movement, because some will be satisfied with the crumbs, while others want it all (see the split at the ZAD). Harm reduction also assumes that the harm (the government) cannot be removed entirely, which is an argument that there can be no anarchy.
Voting reinforces false interdependence. Why should I have a say over what others do, particularly hundreds of millions of people who I will never meet? And why should those people have a say over what I do? There’s both an implied authority over others and implied duty to others that comes with voting. Most people would not actively consent to these authorities and duties if they were made explicit. The way these authorities and duties are administered is through a collective decision-making state apparatus rather than direct interpersonal contact, alienating people from real interdependence, which requires interaction. If we can’t agree, we should not affiliate, rather than just going along with what others want. Forced collective decision-making, subjecting oneself to the tyranny of the majority or consensus, inhibits this autonomy.
Voting is not harm reduction. For the vast majority of issues, there’s no difference between the political parties. They are all the parties of business, climate destruction, deportation, incarceration, police, surveillance, drone strikes, sacred site desecration, et cetera. By getting you to believe that there is a lesser of two evils, the state dampens your desire for abolishing it, because you are meant to believe that things will be worse if you don’t vote and support a political party. Look at the fact that the George Floyd Rebellion occurred under Trump, where liberals, and progressives, and leftists didn’t get what they want, where the harm was supposedly greater, than under Biden, where those same people lie dormant, accepting the lesser evil world as a blessed reprieve.
Power corrupts even the best. Even the most genuine politician, or most trustworthy political party, becomes corrupted by the political process. They come to see themselves as better, superior, more important than those who elected them. To retain their position, they learn to play the game, cater to the wealthy, orient toward the socially and economically powerful, go with what is popular. They must compromise, not speak too ardently, not take strong positions."

New zine!
Thanksgiving's Truth
“Learning” about Thanksgiving in our school system for some of us may be the first time we are even told about indigenous nations and people, but it is a false history. Learning about the realities of genocide, invasions, slavery, and war, we come to understand that Thanksgiving is above all, a colonial holiday that literally celebrates military victories and outright slaughter of Native Americans; made into law and custom by the government. It is not the feel good celebration of settler and indigenous relations we are taught to believe.
During a time when Native warriors and their accomplices are risking their lives fighting on the front lines while poverty, mass incarceration, pollution, continued land theft, destructive resource extraction, and abysmal conditions are the norm in many Native communities, let us all remember and reaffirm our commitment to the struggle against colonialism and the settler-State.
