Yes, I had a read of the ap-next guide and don't see anything controversial in it!
You've just documented the current ways the AP is being used in the real world.

Yeah, Catlins is ok but you're spoiled for better choices. If you go straight north from Invercargill you can stay here https://maps.app.goo.gl/xQYMGxwKSfe4k1Y86 the night then onwards to Glenorchy / Wanaka.

Technically doable but you won't enjoy it unless driving is the whole point of it for you.
I'd cut out everything south of Queenstown.

According to https://news.agu.org/press-release/satellite-megaconstellations-burn-deplete-ozone/ the aluminum won't percolate down from the mezosphere to the stratosphere for ~30 years so by the time we notice the effects on stratospheric ozone it'll be way way too late. Even if we stopped immediately there would be another 30 years of impacts locked in. (but we wouldn't stop anyway because by then vested interests will be keen to keep going).
Seems reckless.

#PieFed v1.6 (coming soon) will make it possible to quote boost PieFed posts in Mastodon!

I doubt Mastodon will retry the quote-permission-getting process for those posts, but it might.
The code is half-written already so it won't be long.

Don't hold your breath, the code to make it happen hasn't been written yet!

A lot of people made new years resolutions about using social media less. So I'm adding an optional daily time limit to #PieFed!
One nice thing about the #fediverse is we don't need to optimize for addiction.
The warning pops up with every page load so just clicking past it won't work. It's for your own good!

It's not something I've paid any attention to.
I'd be fine with hardcoding PieFed to make every post always quotable. Do you know off the top of your head what JSON I need to add to the activity?

"fiat transfer" is a solved problem - https://stripe.com/nz/use-cases/marketplaces
The tough part is the usual chicken and egg that all marketplaces have - getting users on board at the same time as getting devs on board so there is an exchange that can happen.

Thailand is where most people start. It's very beginner-friendly and yet still wild enough to be 'whoa this is different'.
Plus Bangkok has cheap flights to everywhere else in the region.

Hmmm if anything the graphs show a *decrease* in new github projects and a flat amount of Steam new releases (breaking the previous upward trend) and much less Android apps.
Could it be AI is causing more projects to fail?

It'd need to be two colors - one for light mode and another for dark.
...maybe you'd need a corresponding text color too, for when the accent is used as a button background, etc. A light and a dark mode text color.
...and then again, many clients have multiple themes with different color schemes. It'd be hard to ensure the custom accent looks ok on all of them.

What do you notice about the comments on this post?
https://piefed.social/post/555259
The post was made in the news@lemmy.world #Lemmy community and other posts linking to the same news article were made in technology@lemmy.world and in askusa@discuss.online. 3 different posts in 3 different communities.
#PieFed de-duplicates them and only shows the post once in your timeline and when viewing the post all the comments on those 3 posts are shown in the same list.
