So I read that Chrome and Firefox now have jpeg XL support. It's a file format that offers superior compression to both jpeg and png, offers lossy and lossless compression, and if my understanding is correct, will mean uploading high resolution art with smaller file sizes! The cool thing is that Krita already supports exporting in this format.
The only thing left now is for social media platforms to implement support for the format, so fedi devs should look into that :3

i find it so weird that modern humans are able to have relationships with people all around the world through technology, yet we're not allowed to live in their part of the world. National borders are so ridiculous to me. We're all human beings. Why are we being kept inside these artificial lines drawn on a map? Why are we all born with different numbers of different human rights? Things can only truly be called "human rights" if they apply to all humans.

I don't know what it's gonna take for manufacturers to start making true non-Google Linux phones more widely available, but we could really use it right about now.
