#Ireland being led by the likes of #Aontu, who are a regressive, homophobic, anti trans, pro-religious control, misogynistic crew. We cannot return to those days. Today is the 90th anniversary of the battle of cable st, London. One in which many communities came together to prevent Mosley and his blackshirts marching through a Jewish community. The OO is founded on anti-Catholic sectarian oppression and similarly, many people from diverse backgrounds are coming together to keep them off the #GarvaghyRoad. OO have an alternative route. This is just coat-trailing supremacy. SF will co-operate with any protest probe, says McDonald https://www.rte.ie/news/ireland/2026/1004/1593930-drumcree-dispute/

The sad saga of #OrangeOrder demanding to go down the #GarvaghyRoad continues. It now transpires the OO has put in almost a weekly request to walk though a nationalist area for 28 years. All were denied until the failed one last weekend. The Ch of Ireland they parade from has closed its doors so they cannot wait in the hall there now. (1/22)

It seems the terrorising of Dover is being supported by Yaxley-Lennon. He’s calling for more people to support the ‘patriots’ there today.
Strange that #Cooper, #MetPol & #Labour still don’t find it necessary to classify these actions and the #Fash as TERRORIST, but they do so for a retired vicar, meetings in a Quaker house, or people sitting silently at an outdoor venue with placards.

How much is too much when it comes to #Israel demeaning and dehumanising people? Many of these people are citizens of countries that have been supporting Israel, while it continues its enlarging #genocide from #Gaza to #Lebanon. Ben Givr is a blatant example of unacceptable behaviour, and criticisms of his behaviour by #Netenyahu are not sufficient.

@nprofile…z4eq And Nigel has vanished from sight and sound completely Not his usual style at all. Would that be because the unpleasant backgrounds of so many of his elected councillors are indefensible? Or would it be because he doesn’t want to deal with his many answers and increasing questions around a £5 million donation and other financial issues.

@nprofile…x9tq Starmer was welcoming Burnham’s move this morning. Like I’ve noted already, there will be no difference whether it’s Burnham, Streeting or Starmer. The backroom operators and donors will ensure everything continues as planned. If Labour intends to change direction the replacement PM will have to be from outside Labour Friends of Israel, and not someone who is the happy recipient of donations from US corporate raiders.

@nprofile…x9tq #Reform (#Farage) doesn’t care about the fools who voted for them, or gave them the responsibility of governance. They ‘win’ seats simply to promote a message of success and to have a higher profile. Should they become the government of the #UK, they will do a #Trump: sell the country and all in it to the highest bidder, take their own cut, and bear no responsibility. Reform are agents for destruction, for self-enrichment, for racism, for selling out to the highest donor.

@nprofile…x9tq Starmer brought this mess on himself. I have zero sympathy for him and this administration. Their arrogance and Tory-like behaviour is doing great damage to what remains of democracy in the UK, and opening the door to worse. I’m not at all convinced Burnham is the great saviour either for Labour. Others speak for him and it all feels stage managed.

2026-05-14 12:33:05 UTC

#Farage hypocrisy. Doesn’t he have some kind of ‘patriotic’ gin he promotes? Farage has already shown himself to be a #TERF, and wants to limit women’s #autonomy and rights and control over their own bodies and decisions; add in his support for #hompphobia here. This is not a political party or a man any one should ever want in government - not even in councils.

@nprofile…fw69 Trump and his billionaire entourage surely get the message. No major dignitary there to meet him off the plane. No special treatment. A straight out unusually frank warning by China to rein their behaviour in or suffer some consequences. Wonder if Trump is expected to share this warning with Israel as well? Trump cannot and will not win any contest with China; but does he, or do his administration understand the risk and consequences of even thinking of opposing this?

@nprofile…x9tq Not sure why there’s such an obsession over Burnham, tbh. It’s almost as bad as the one over Corbyn. And Burnham isn’t an MP, so it seems to me to be a deflection, a waste of time and energy, which undoubtedly suits Starmer & Streeting. Everyone needs to look at who is available & likely: Rayner, Milliband, and that whole noxious Front Bench. There must be outlier MPs within govt worth a better look. Wish Clive Lewis would be a contender, but he doesn’t seem interested.

@nprofile…x9tq I do not see how this is even an issue. Polanski is not an MP, nor is he an elected councillor. He pays rent to a landlord, which usually includes rates and such. His family privacy has been invaded. His partner may be paying the rates, and he wants to keep some level of personal life without the media slobbering all over everyone he ever spoke to or had a date with. It’s harassment, trolling, and trying to raise hate and homophobia. Disgusting by media.

I look forward to multiple similar resignations over the next month or so, and all the ensuing by-elections. Hopefully people will replace them with a non-Reform councillor.
This demonstrates why #Reform should not be permitted as a political party - bunch of clowns, racists, misogynists, and grifters.

While Starmer could easily make a deal with #ReformLtd as many of their racist and other policies align, he cannot do the same with the Greens.
