@nprofile…08ze @nprofile…59k6 @nprofile…fa4k What on earth are you blabbering about, dude?
Real people with visas and green cards have been unjustly put in detention and you are accusing folks of fearmongering?
>Then work from Switzerland—or wherever you believe is “safe."
Well, that's exactly what they are doing. Taking steps to move things outside your beautiful country.
>Have U.S.-based researchers been legally prevented from attending conferences abroad?
Did you read the post before making a fool of yourself? It's about people from outside the US, who do not want to enter it? Are you that dense?
>I read “International scientists rethink U.S. conference attendance.” It was opinion, not evidence.
Yeah. Many are.
>Otherwise, what you’re spreading isn’t caution—it’s hysteria, and it risks undermining trust in the very institutions you claim to care about.
Give evidence that it is hysteria. Give evidence that it risks "undermining trust in the very institutions you claim to care about."

@nprofile…6kk0 Oh man!! What did I just see?
Anyway, would you mind telling us as to why you think the *human* maths olympiads are "corrosive to the transmission and preservation of mathematical culture"? Genuinely curious.

@nprofile…kzuj @nprofile…6kk0 @nprofile…n2ga I would just like to interject for a moment. What you are referring to Asahi GNU/Linux is simply Asahi Linux or as I recently taken to calling them, simply Asahi. You see Asahi Linux is not a complete system but just a port of the Linux kernel for Apple Silicon-powered Macs. For it to be a complete system it needs to be paired with a (non-)GNU coreutils offered by various distributions like Fedora, Debian or Alpine.

@nprofile…6kk0 @nprofile…kzuj @nprofile…n2ga There are some things that still needs to be worked upon, but they have achieved quite a lot given that it was completely a hobbyist project funded almost completely on donations.
Regarding your question about good battery life, you can have a look at system76 machines. They do have quite a good reputation among GNU/Linux laptop users.
