As someone who used dude-Siri when I still carried Apple hardware, people always asked why I changed it.

In the era of AI slop, you really need to resist the urge to "well ackshally" shit like this. It's a waste of everyone's time and you've now spent more time thinking about it than the prompter did creating it.

My wife and I have been slowly over the last few years finding ways to cancel our subscriptions and just *own* things. If I want to play a vintage game, I buy a physical copy and boot up an emulator. We also set up navidrome and started collecting discs to rip. My wife backed up her spotify playlists before cancelling and we're trying to find a way to link them to music tracks that we own and make a list of what we're missing.
Not a terribly challenging task, but I looked around online to see if anyone else was doing it. What I found was dozens of projects going the other way. People saying "I'm looking to ditch my MP3s and move to Spotify."
It's certainly less work, but I wonder how all of these people will feel when they're locked in and their monthly costs for these services increases and there's absolutely nothing they can do about it.

I froze three and was given a code to unlock them temporarily (or something this was like 8 years ago).
Gave the code to my bank when applying for a home loan. It didn’t work. Ended up just unfreezing so they could do their job.
Costs like $12 every time you want to freeze. It’s a racket.

I feel for you.
My company got bought in June '23. I was offered a retention bonus with a final payout after two years. 1.5 years in (last month), they announced that they're laying off our entire office in June '25.
The reason provided was that we can't keep up with the expected demand of the product despite nobody ever coming on site to evaluate our abilities and us exceeding the goals set for us. It couldn't have anything to do with the salary range in our area naturally. I asked the goon they sent us if the person who made the decision was on the phone. He said no. It was explained that "these things happen" in business.
And they expect everyone to stick around and happily assist in the transition. The retention bonus sounded good when it came with continued employment, but it's not nearly enough to put up with that shit.
I've already interviewed three places. Fuck if I'm giving them two weeks.

There should be a requirement where the people who decide to lay folks off actually have to show up and tell them in person.
