If you could ask God for ONE thing for your church family this week, what would it be? 🤔
In Ephesians 3, Paul shows us that our deepest need isn't temporary comfort—it's to be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 2:1-10 shows us the ultimate journey of every Christian:
1️⃣ Once dead in transgression
2️⃣ Made alive with Christ by grace
3️⃣ Raised and seated in heavenly realms
4️⃣ Created to walk in prepared good works

Violence is the world's tool to enforce its will. Prayer is the Christian's weapon to invite God’s peace. If you want to change a volatile culture, skip the angry protests and get on your knees (1 Tim 2:1-2).

Suffering and death are inevitable realities in a fallen world. But the Gospel gives them an expiration date. Your pain, your tears, and your anxieties are temporary anomalies. Lift up your head: suffering will not have the last word. That belongs to Jesus.

Love is fundamental for our relationships with each other.
We have seen this week how it is the debt we owe each other and how it makes possible unity between people who are not the same.
The question is: are you willing to love your neighbour as yourself 👇

Seeking 'my way or the highway' ultimately leads us to a dead end.
When our relationships with other believers become 'zero sum games' where someone has to win and someone has to lose, everyone loses.
Especially the Gospel.

Disunity happens when we start valuing our favorite hymns, decor, or theological "pet projects" more than the people Christ died for ✝️.
When we value our tastes over our brothers and sisters, we aren't just being "opinionated"—we’re missing the point of the Gospel.

Many people look at the modern Church to find the God of Love and, sadly, they don't see Him.
Why?
Because it’s easy to prioritize power over the "debt of love." My latest blog post dives into Romans 13:8-10.

Most of us have a "quid pro quo" approach to relationships. We’re nice to those who are nice to us. But Jesus points out that even the most corrupt people in society do that.
True "perfection" (completeness) in love looks completely different.

This week we have learned from the Apostle of Love (John) that God is love, and so if we are seeking to be godly, we too must love.
Even when it hurts.

"We love because he first loved us." 🕊️
1 John 4:19-21 tosses a grenade at our worldly concepts of love. We don't love people because they "fit our type" or deserve it. We love them because we didn't deserve God's love, yet He gave it anyway.

Real Christianity isn't a political identity; it’s a command to love.
1 John 4:20 reminds us that "hate" isn't just active malice—it's indifference and slighting. If we disregard our neighbor, we are damaging our relationship with God.

Love is the only border that matters. 🛂
In the Kingdom of God, love is the border line. It is the dividing line between:
Righteousness and sin.
Obedience and disobedience.
Genuine faith and intellectual assent.

Love isn’t just something you do—it’s who you are. 🕊️

1 John 4:7-12 challenges us to look at the source. If love comes from God, and God lives in us, then love should be our default setting, not a performance we put on for the cameras.

Thank you very much. Covetousness is one of those 'silent sins' that we don’t contemplate much until we realise that it has us in its grip. It's been a tough series to write because it's caused me to search my own heart. But then, I guess, that's what Bible study should do. I'm blessed and encouraged to hear someone else has had the same experience.
