Yes, Emacs is quite capable of doing multi-file refactoring. You can do this and live to tell the tale.

These three links have informed a lot of my thinking of late on writing Elisp, which I am admittedly novice at. The quoted paragraph in the first link on the chaos of using a map-style (key, value) collection is especially resonant to me. I personally don't care to please old Elisp heads who say we should only use builtins. I want to use conventional abstractions that are shared among the languages I know like Python, Swift, JavaScript, and Java.

Casual v2.2.5 update now available on MELPA. Adds support for text reformatting commands (fill, center, repunctuate), common editor settings, and changes the % key in the Calc main menu to do the sensible thing and compute a percentage. More info at the link attached.

Okay here's another Transient I've made a while back, in this case for Avy. A bit esoteric, but this has enabled me to get a lot more out of Avy than just using avy-goto-word-1 or avy-goto-char-timer. Wondering out loud if I should publish this on MELPA.
Also yes, I've read Karthik's post on using Avy wrong. I readily admit I'm not sophisticated enough to put filter-select-act into practice.

@npub19y8…wxgj Because Casual Dired is built on Transient, you can always press '?' to invoke a help mode for the menu. Then the press the letter of any menu item to get the help for the command it is bound to.
