@nprofile…fecl pardons shouldn't exist. They came from a time when kings could overrule convictions. They have absolutely no place in democracy. The executive branch shouldn't have power to pardon someone.

@nprofile…kam5 Thank you. I understand that public services such as journalism should be subsidized by taxes. Good journalism keeps democracies alive. But that is just idealism. There isn't a good way of making sure the journalists aren't influenced to talk positively about the government if the government is paying them.
