My childhood best friend's dad always went on last-minute all weekend fishing trips...when her mom's father he died he spent all of the inheritance on boats. But suspiciously his trips were always near motels. And her mom was told by the doctor she had syphilis but she didn't have any extramarital partners.

I fucking hate what the medical industry does to women. I was falsely diagnosed with BPD myself and when I was people I thought were my friends all threw me out and told me I was not deserving of love. Literally. They even tried to convince me that my family doesn't love me. That diagnosis was retracted though, all my alleged BPD symptoms are actually rejection sensitivity dysphoria, an overlooked symptom of ADHD that is often mistaken for BPD. I have better friends now but I hate that the mental conditions I do actually have keep me dependant on one of the many industries that hate me for being a woman. I hate that not every woman is going to get better like I did. I hate that every medical treatment for women boils down to how can we make this sick woman more desirable to men and more fertile for men instead of actually improving her quality of life. I hate that women who can't be "fixed" are punished like your friends were. I hate it all.

Yes, that's true too. Women with "BPD" are often just women who are emotionally unstable from years of abuse, and instead of giving them the support they need and punishing their abusers we tell them they are literal monsters who should be ostracized because they don't deserve love and they need to be drugged up so that the men abusing them don't find them unpleasant.
Meanwhile emotional instability is the default state of being for men and nobody tells them they are evil for it.

There were some good looking men there, the singer of the band was for sure. I'm not even sure that the smelly men were Greek because it attracted a lot of people of all sorts.
My favorite part was when the dancers finished their last choreographed dance and then opened the stage to anyone who wanted to join them for a circle dance. My friend made me go up there and dance with them, lol. Fortunately she went up with me. I wouldn't have done it by myself.

Especially the reusable ones. Doctors who need to wear them change them multiple times per day and never use reusable ones for this very reason. And mass lockdowns was an extreme overstep. The virus sucks, I get it cause I've had it but the mass psychosis over it was just unbelievable.

The media is definitely testing the waters (pun not intended) to see if we'll all freak out about it. I've already seen a few people giving in but if they take some extreme measures like they did with COVID then not as many people are going to comply this time around.

Hantavirus isn't a superspreader like covid or flu like viruses in general, so I'm not worried about a potential pandemic. I'm never getting on a cruise ship though that's for damn sure

FR I thought I was just fully descended from English colonists and happened to have a rare eye color. Which is still possible I guess. I will get a DNA test at some point hopefully this year

As it turns out I could be descended from melungeon people, but I won't know for sure until I get a DNA test.
I have green eyes and warm skin, so does my father, and so did his father and his grandparents who lived in the northeast corner of Tennessee. Apparently this is an indicator of being a melungeon descendant. My father has been told for most of his life that he could be a melungeon descendant but he only told me recently.
They were mixed race and descended from colonial settlers and freed people of color in the Appalachian states, and historically melungeon was a slur but it has since been reclaimed.

I think that was probably the only way moviegoers in 1997 were going to care about the Titanic lol. A lot of critiques about this movie are valid, but the ones men have about Rose as a character usually are not.

I hate it when men are willfully ignorant about this movie. She wasn't obsessed with some guy who she had a one night stand with on a ship years ago she was looking for freedom and independence in a time where women didn't have any and Jack represented that for her. That's why she still loved him when she was 100 years old.
(She didn't have to jump back onto the sinking ship for him though no man is worth that)
