See flow chart below:
1. Listener count for terrestrial radio drops
2. Radio station struggles to pay worthless DJs and operating costs because it cannot charge as much for ad time
3. Runs more ads to compensate for lower rate.
4. Go to step 1.
My area used to have a red-headed stepchild of a radio station. All of the "rowdy" country songs from 1950s onwards without the tear jerkers, ballads, or hick hop. They had pre-recorded interludes, sort of like the "Red, White, and Booze" XM station. Hardly any ads, because they had no costs other than getting the sound on the airwaves.
They canceled it, and made the frequency another relay for their WACKY, ZANY MORNING ZOO WITH FORCED COUNTRY ACCENTS THAT DON'T MATCH THE LOCAL CROWD station. Boneheaded move.

Remember kids, the ICEblock app works on all iOS devices and anonymizes all reports. So there are no penalties for adding reports to areas you are going!
Knowing is half the battle! The other half is somehow igniting an existential crisis in creatures that aren't smart enough to have one.
