I get it Ben but I think the more analytically robust comparison is to waking up early with those you love and having deep conversation over coffee (perhaps after a workout). Agree?

One of the biggest challenges in getting people to exercise and eat healthy is the delay in “feedback” between taking the action and seeing the result. Wearable bio feedback tech will rapidly close this gap and “gamify” the process, dramatically improving human health outcomes. 💡

To those worried about why institutional BTC buying hasn’t driven up price more, I have a question - were sellers on the other side of each buy order.? A: Yes, so can debate endlessly WHY the sellers sold, but it is what it is. Human nature 101 - “take profits” mentality to fund consumption. Nothing to worry about - this pattern will continue to $10M and beyond

Milestone crossed - my mom is now a Bitcoiner! It’s paper BTC in her case but it’s a start - 0.15 BTC through IBIT in her retirement acct.

Q: If you had a feedback tool that analyzed in real time how everything you eat is impacting your body, would you use it and would it change your behavior?
I think the best solution to restoring global health in this age of caloric abundance and processed foods is closing the “feedback gap” between what we eat and how/when it impacts our bodies.

Bitcoin isn’t just digital gold—it’s freedom from corruption and a broken system.
Bitcoin is hope.

I think I just orange pilled my uber driver. Said he never understood why inflation happens and why Bitcoin is the solution until our talk. Sometimes it doesn’t feel like it but every convo does moves the needle.

I wonder what programs weak minds in the western world to ignore the latter while obsessively hyper-focussing on the former?

Love this - classic example I have always used myself to describe this (island example):

Bitcoiners:
1) Do we agree that new pleb adoption through cold storage alone is cumbersome given human nature? I for one have struggled to get anyone to adopt on this basis.
2) If so, despite it being paper BTC, do we agree that ETFs (particularly owned through registered tax deferred accounts) are a useful Trojan horse in that regard to being Bitcoin to the masses?
Why or why not? I feel the purists are coming at it from the right sentiment but not being logical about human nature and acknowledging that hardcore bitcoiners are a “tail” in the population distribution and nowhere close to the “middle” in terms of open mindedness and willingness to think in first principles.
Welcome everyone’s thoughts.

Random question - if you had to pick a single WOD to do at home if you were trying to maintain cardio (VO2 Max) and Strength - what would you pick assuming you had full equipment?

Indeed. The overconfidence that certain people have re: their approaches is silly. The best one can do is review the data and various methods, tinker for themselves, carefully monitor the results and make adjustments accordingly. Crazy that so few people do the n=1 experiment on the most relevant test subject - themselves!

Exactly. Have been doing it ~10Y myself. Try a CGM as well if you haven't, great to see the data on blood glucose variability.

Yes I'm super weary of "capture" as well. Very impressed by his neutrality and objectivity in breaking down the epidemiological studies done on nutrition and highlighting how much we (and he) simply doesn't know.

10/10. Steak, Eggs, Avocado. Looks like you eat a "modified carnivore" style, low carb diet, which is exactly how I manage my health. NIcely done.

Yes sir - we're both proponents of Proof of Work - without neglecting the all important Proof of Work "vehicle" known as the human body that we walk around in every day.
Random - but I'm listening to Attia's book Outlive right now - absolutely phenomenal, especially the bit on nutrition science and preventative health.

You have obviously thought much more deeply about this than I have, but is it a two step game?
i.e. - Step 1: Build the farm to table supply chain using a mix of digital payment methods (incl. stablecoins),
Step 2: Eventually (possibly over 10+ Y) as Bitcoin adoption / fiat price inevitably increases and volatility declines, participants in the supply chain naturally choose to hold BTC vs. Stablecoins?

Bitcoin Standard (Saifedean) and Broken Money (Lyn Alden) are probably the two best to read.
