I prompted Opus 5.5 "port Armada to SolidJS" and it took about 6 hours but it actually fucking did it. It looks perfect, 1:1, functionality is all perfect. I can't even tell the difference at all. The bundle size is only like 14% smaller and the performance boost isn't proven yet, so I'm not going to pull the trigger yet. I just wanted to see if it was possible. Several years ago, Sonnet 3.5 couldn't tell the difference between SolidJS and React and kept fucking everything up. Now it can do it. Potential wins for mkstack across the board if we convert everything to SolidJS.

Security by obscurity IS security. This is in fact how virtually all cryptographic functions and authentication works.

A big thing AI models still struggle with is code removal. It wants to mend everything. As holes are getting blasted through your ship sometimes the correct move is to cut a square around the hole and replace the entire square, but it wants to mend the hole. You end up with something bumpy. Unless you pay attention and tell it to remove.

When I first saw this design I thought it was horrible. Oh, so these are the only 2 signers in the world? Why are we hardcoding Amber and Primal, including even their logos in Ditto? @npub1ye5…knpr submitted this pull request 2 months ago and kept nagging us about it. Finally I learned how it worked. No, it's actually *detecting automatically* the NIP-55 apps installed on your system and then using their data from the system. Okay, that's better than I thought - new signer apps will show up here automatically. But really, NIP-55? Do we need MORE competing standards for signers? NIP-46 is hard enough. But @npub1scv…68d8 merged it anyway. I was annoyed. Then I used it. It's the greatest thing ever. Everything feels so fast. DMs decrypt instantly. This is the best remote signer UX I've ever seen. Sorry I doubted you.

The problem with silent payments (and similar), is that once spent the spender groups the outputs together, thus linking them. It's still an improvement, but far from what privacy advocates actually desire.

The biggest thing holding vibe coding back right now is that the web is closed. You can't write a prompt like "highlight the best bardcore videos on YouTube" because YouTube's API is closed. Google search, DuckDuckGo, even Brave Search are closed APIs. If the whole web had open APIs we'd be seeing the cambrian explosion we dream of. This really proves why Nostr matters.

Is Nos a pure client or does it have a server?
The client I'm building is a hybrid client/server. I am working on an anti-spam system where I treat users of my client differently from users on the network.
Users on the network need a valid NIP-05, or need to be in the web-of-trust of some configured account (Jack Dorsey currently, but it's configurable) in order to post. The WoT thing is primitive, but I can envision ways to improve it. Look how small the code is: https://gitlab.com/soapbox-pub/nostrify/-/blob/main/packages/policies/WoTPolicy.ts?ref_type=heads
For users of my own client, I'm building a captcha served by my server. When they solve the captcha, my server will publish an event saying they solved the captcha. Then any client which trust my server (including my own client) can query that event to decide whether to let the user post.
