Great Aussie GenderSpecial #42

Purveyor of ‘gendered hate’ according to e-safety Australia, probably. 😱

This is the kind of nitpicking I get when I'm open and vulnerable. I'm going back in the closet till next year.

Hey everyone,
You may have noticed I haven't posted here for a while. I've been thinking a lot lately about who I am, how I feel inside, and how I want to present myself to the world. After a lot of reflection and support from people close to me, I've come to a point where I feel ready to share something important: I'm non-binary.
This means I've always felt a bit outside the traditional boxes of gender. It feels incredibly liberating to finally acknowledge and embrace this openly. I'm sharing this because I value authenticity and the supportive community we have here.
I know everyone's journey is different, and mine is still evolving. I'm grateful for the friends and allies who've encouraged me along the way. Your kindness means more than I can express.
Thank you for letting me share this part of my story with you.
With love and appreciation,
xyzenflux

Richard Dawkins’ Facebook account has been deleted because he posted on Twitter that male boxers should not fight women in the Olympics!

e.g. this person https://doi.org/10.1016/S0015-0282(99)00169-7
> A 22-year-old Chinese woman presented to our clinic with a history of primary amenorrhea. The patient was 163 cm in height and 50 kg in weight. Physical examination showed moderately developed breasts (Tanner stage III), normal pubic hair, scant axillary hair, and normal external genitalia. Pelvic examination revealed the presence of a normal cervix and a uterus. The vagina was 8 cm in length. Bilateral adnexa were palpable without apparent adnexal masses. An abdominal ultrasonographic examination revealed a 4.5 × 3 cm uterus without intraabdominal masses. Cytogenetic analysis revealed a 46,XY karyotype.
If a person like this trained their whole life and made it onto the Olympic team I think common sense would say they should be allowed to compete in the female category. Of course the IOC should be transparent about this.

I think the Olympics should bring back sex testing but make an exception to allow males with complete androgen insensitivity syndrome to compete with women in some sports (not boxing). The man in the boxing today has been through male puberty though so he shouldn’t be allowed in any female sport or anything else for women.
