Update: Our power is back on!💜

2026-09-05 23:01:22 UTC

I'm so excited to see the DTE trucks here. Hopefully we'll have power back on soon.🤞🏻

2026-09-05 12:45:40 UTC

We still don't have power. Using the generator helps. Mostly use it at night. I wish I would have remembered to get some dry ice for the freezer & refrigerator. They're still saying Sunday for restoration. I haven't seen any DTE trucks in the area. 😢

I used to love the band Chicago, I saw they were playing at The White House lawn party. So disappointed. My husband turned it on briefly changing channels.

Today was a hard day. Our sweet boy Zeus was having problems with his teeth. We got him on antibiotics. Talked about removing teeth. But the vet said he might not make it through surgery. He had lost a lot of weight. They never did bloodwork, & he was rapidly losing weight. So today we made the decision to let him go. It was very emotional. Rest easy Zeus. We will miss him. 💔🌈

I went to my first protest today in my local city. It wasn't very big, the people were nice there & very joyful. It was other people's first time going to one also. A few maga drove by flipping us off & called us morons. We just said we love you too. It was very uplifting & joyful for the most part. Saw some young people there too. I didn't take any pictures though. Not sure if my workplace would approve. #Nokings
