Well I finally reached a breaking point...
I'm turning off linting from my text editor.

I cannot stop thinking of "Le Lisp"

TIL there's a french LISP dialect called "Le Lisp".
LE LISP, MY SIBLING IN CROISSANT, WHAT WERE YOU DOING?
HOW WAS THAT THE BEST NAME YOU CAME UP WITH???

2026-10-22 20:18:37 UTC

unrelated but I've been getting into RSS lately, and now I am wondering if you guys know any cool RSS feed for me to gather?

The existence of syntactic sugar implies the subsequent syntactic diabetes due to overuse of it.
Which language would fall in that category?

2026-10-15 23:44:34 UTC

My art may not have a big revolutionary message, or a confrontational nature by default.
But if it manages to make you feel something, or distract yourself a second from this crazy world, I'd call that a more than successful piece.

The age of JPEG XL has begun 😶‍🌫️

- Got a video on youtube about minecraft servers.
- See a reimplementation of MC server.
- It's slop.
Dishonor, dishonor for you and your cow.

I'm having a huge emotional downfall rn when I should try to get some sleep...
My anxiety is in the clouds, I'm crying, I want to blame all of this frustration onto something but I can't, and I will just have to "deal with it", because that's pretty much my life...

And remember kids, just because a technology it's not going away, does not mean it's "the future".
That's the same logic of "Well, this guy is in charge, it must be because he's doing something good".

Why is the GNOME logo a foot?
I accept both accurate and wrong awnsers, just to feed the chaos

2026-09-05 17:47:44 UTC

Now I am no X11 cultist or Wayland sectary.
But I always wondered when this fight comes up, if you're so mad at how Wayland is managed why don't you make a joint effort to fork it?
Like, as far as I know our current X11 is a fork from a previous shenanigans of the 80s/90s.
Has anyone not tried to do the same with Wayland?
Is Wayland hatred so religious to some people they rather keep using X11 than improving over Wayland?

2026-08-10 20:12:32 UTC

Decided to give Stoat a try again after so much, it's nice, now I can screen share, my audio works perfectly, and I get to have a place to talk with my friends when Discord finished self destructing.
8/10 I recommend it over Fluxer

2026-08-10 05:33:56 UTC

Now I may not be a 300 IQ social engineering guru, or a marketing wizard.
But I'm pretty sure in this dire times, using LLMs for code doesn't benefit you as an open source project.
Like you can chit chat me all you want about your "increase in productivity" but I don't think that's worth becoming more dependent in large corrupt companies and get backslash by the same community that you should benefit from.

This whole Blender situation reminds me of what happened months ago with the Python Foundation, only with the opposite result because y'know, the Python Foundation actually refused that money.
I'm not gonna stop using Blender because of this, because I actually have good faith in the Blender dev team, but I certainly won't feel good seeing Anthropic there at all, and I would rather prefer they didn't take that filthy money.

As someone who has never developed a game port for mainstream consoles (or a game in general), what is usually the appeal to port for consoles? I know Nintendo Switch is a platform many indies end on and I can see the potential benefit there, but why Playstation and Xbox if you have a PC?

Dear FediPeople, I require your wisdom once again, please if you have any reliable links regarding how LLM and GenAI works, their downsides, legal issues and environmental impact, share it here so I can be less ignorant and actually put my critical thinking into works.
I had another "AI discussion" with someone and my brain got extremely fried by the amount of misunderstandings I was listening, so please, let me gather "The Sauce" so I can dip my argument better.
