@nprofile…3d77 I’ve basically done something similar by deleting most apps off my phone and denying notifications to the rest.
I probably don’t need to be notified to every text I receive, but because so many people prefer to open a conversation that way it’s the last thing I’m hesitant to turn off

Watching #daredevilbornagain and it makes me wonder how much of today’s political climate, specially the crime narrative has been influenced by #Marvel dominance over the last two decades. Don’t get me wrong, I like these shows, but they’re predicated on out of control crime in stark contrast to our relatively safe reality
But I’m sure the impact has been low, if at all. Our media ecosystem is very efficient at making people afraid

@nprofile…naem That definitely explains a lot!
But on that note I’ve been really disappointed with the slow pace of Proton on this stuff, especially with their acquisition of Standard Notes, which already has spreadsheets.
It’s also annoying docs are locked to their ecosystem. I’m going to start using Cryptpad knowing all this

Conspiracies on #TikTok right now are rampant that they sold, or made some deal with #Meta. No hard evidence yet but a lot of small stuff pointing to it. I can say while I was scrolling some branding for Instagram flashed by. #tiktokban

I decided to #email the #Proton Foundation about recent events. I’m not hopefully for change, but I’d like to give them a chance to course correct, and I really really really don’t wanna have to self-host or research competitors only to find out in a year they suck too. If anyone wants to email them it’s

I set my #Instagram account for deletion a few days ago. It’s not due to happen until February, but I got a notification my phone number was removed from my account just now. I didn’t do that and my account is protected via long password and 2FA. So is that a normal part of the deletion process?
