I just finished recording my first audiobook, and it was really fun! So, you know, if you've written a book and you're like "I would like someone who is not me to read this book, but also someone who doesn't sound too much like and AI or a soothing commercial" hit me up.

"It's a marathon not a sprint" well I can't run a fucking marathon so that's not actually all that reassuring.

I know there are 10,000 things right now but please consider contacting your rep and asking them to vote NO on HR-28 which would ban trans and intersex kids from playing sports.

Let’s say a person who is fairly non-technical wanted to learn the basics of Arduino stuff. What videos/resources would folks recommend? I don’t need to become an expert. I literally just need to learn so I can do a specific art thing which involves turning a pump on and off.

One of my favorite episodes of Flash Forward involved training a LLM on millions of words of religious texts and asking it to generate something, and then talking to religious scholars of various faiths about their interpretation of that text.

You can listen to that episode here: https://www.flashforwardpod.com/2016/09/05/episode-20-something-martian-witch-way-comes/
It's from 2016 so... the production value isn't as high as later episodes, but still I think interesting!

Spent a lot of the day working on a talk nobody has asked me to give called "It's one podcast, Rose. What could it cost, $10?" that tries to explain how much fucking work Tested was and why everybody I know who wants to make deeply reported audio is actively looking for other jobs right now.

By the way, I recently made a big podcast series about sex testing, which I did not post on here at all oops. If you want to learn about the loooooooong history of policing women in sports (and how it's still happening today) listen to Tested! https://tested-podcast.com
