I've followed John C. Dvorak's career for decades. I enjoyed is columns. He was my favorite person on TechTV when that was a thing. I followed him to This Week in Tech (and abandoned TWiT shortly after Leo effectively banned him from TWiT) and No Agenda.
He was always my favorite half of No Agenda.
If the rumors of his death aren't being greatly exaggerated, he had a good run. I hope he's being a cranky bastard somewhere in the afterlife.

Here's my suggestion based on what I did so many years ago in a small apartment. Get a kettlebell of appropriate weight (20 kg I usually a good starting weight for men) and a copy of the book Simple and Sinister.
Use them to learn the swing and Turkish get up (the book explains them well). Once you've learned those, you can start the program in the book.

Have you been to a major party political convention before? I have. Power doesn't go to those who show up. Power is held by those with positions of authority within the party. They will use every dirty trick including straight up rigging to get their desired outcome.
Everyone else who shows up is just there to make themselves feel important. They have zero power.

Returning to the point about shielding governments from liability, no bigger liability shield for the government exists than democracy.
When the government is corrupt, the people are blamed. It's their fault for not being able to see into the future. They should've known which politicians would be corrupt once they were elected!
How stupid of them not to use their soothsaying powers!

Exactly. The falsehood implied is if government doesn't provide these services, nobody will. History shows otherwise. In fact, most of these services were provided through nongovernmental means before the government swooped in and monopolized them.
The town I grew up in still has a completely volunteer fire department funded through community donations. It turns out the community deems this service important and are happy to volunteer and donate to make it happen.

The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. This new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or East Asia, but to keep the very structure of society intact.

Of the accounts of professional hitmen I've read, suppressed handguns are pretty rare tools in their arsenals. They typically use an unsuppressed handgun at contact range or a rifle at long range.
A professional who wanted to use a suppressed handgun would've probably opted for a .45 since it's designed to be subsonic (I'm assuming this assassin's gun was a 9mm, but I could be wrong).

Usually I only get soreness for a workout or two after adding an exercise I haven't done in a while.
For example, I'm running Dan John's Armor Building Formula right. It involves double kettlebell front squats, which I hadn't done in a while. My quads were sore for the first two sessions. After that, no soreness unless I really push things.
Push ups utilize biceps and triceps (to a lesser or greater extent based on the type of push up) so what you're experiencing tracks.
