Stopped to enjoy a sweet potato blossom on a vine that's climbing my neighbors fence. Many homesteaders here grow some variety of sweet potato as ground covers and space fillers, bc even when we don't grow them for tubers, they provide a service. They basically grow themselves, help hold space over some other more invasive plants, and the easily accessible, prolific leaves are edible. I do find consumable tubers sometimes as a by-product of clearing space and weeds, but that's not the reason I grow them.

I made gnocchi from ulu (bread fruit) and forgot to take a pic after I cooked and plated them up. I drowned them in a buttery garlic, and fresh basil bearnaise sauce. They were delicious. So hearty, so filling, so much less processed flour. 😅 There's also some left uncooked for the freezer! 🤤

@nprofile…cwpc @nprofile…pqg2 use around trees like mulch, or top-dressing with them. Can also use them in hugelkulture type beds. They break down quickly here in the rainforest, the minute they are open to the elements and touch bare earth.

The very best part of my local Xmas parade, was the part where they put the drag queens DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF the trumpsters, the trumpsters then being forced to see and follow the drag queens the entire parade route, how everyone cheered for the drag queens and were DEAD SILENT for the trumpsters, and I know that the parade organizers *absolutely* did it on purpose. 🤣🤣🤣🖤🖤🖤😆😆💀💀💀💀💃💃💃💃 I live in THE best place. 😆
