Seems there is still some very striking fascist architecture left over from the 20s and 30s there, I assume someone will make the connection eventually and have it all demolished

I can't tell if this is sarcastic. The public record is saturated with examples of US command deliberately targeting civilians on a regular basis. And you would be hard pressed to find examples of professed Shia doing what you describe, Shia doing suicide bombs in marketplaces? Get a new hobby https://ctc.westpoint.edu/the-absence-of-shia-suicide-attacks-in-iraq/

The principle of discrimination was an essential component to just war theory in western civilization and remains so in Islam, especially among the Shi'ites who are extremely conservative in defining legitimate warfare. It's not intrinsic to warfare as such to deliberately ignore or inverse the distinction between combatants and non-combatants. The US deliberately targets civilians, the other side does not. I like the American soldiers I know and agree with them on a great deal, they are my countrymen, and I pray for their well-being, but they also seem to practice elaborate mental gymnastics to maintain a working relationship with a command structure whose values are radically antithetical to their own interests as well as the safety and security of the Republic at large

western political pop culture transformed into a cartoon a solid decade ago by the most conservative of estimates and yet this macron look is somehow too much for me, only now have they finally jumped the shark

Around 2018 I was in between rentals in Austin Texas looking for a place to live and ended up interviewing at a housing co-op populated by young green types and over dinner I made a brief remark about evolution being fake and racist. All present tolerated this and a few enthusiastically agreed.
I don't think that would have gone over so well had I remarked the same in similar company just 10 years prior. Something had recently transpired wherein the dogma of evolution had lost its special status as absolute and sacrosanct.
One of the luminaries of the Traditional school noted several decades ago that evolutionism is the pseudo-metaphysical foundation of modern society without which the latter would completely disintegrate, and in Western countries I suspect we are witnessing that play out in a real time

Truly, RFK has earned a lot of criticism but to call him "anti-vax" is a sign of the worst kind of brain worms. If I am concerned about the safety of a particular pill, am I "anti-pill" ? Yes, according to state media and PR companies who love branding this as the right-wing position. The result is that the very small percentages of leftists or left-leaning people dull and gullible enough to fall for it is just large enough to shut down all progress and dialogue among the scattered remnants of polite society. Literally all they have to do is change the law so that the corporations that manufacture drugs are liable for the safety of their products, a cause the vast majority of sincere people would get behind, and all this noise could maybe sort itself out over time

I definitely remember using 3.11 in school but this was when I was quite a bit younger like up through maybe age 10. My school definitely didn't have proper IT security until the XP era which is when I got banned from using the computers for having a copy of cmd.exe in my user directory. I was in high school then
