Ryan "lofenyy" Medeiros

If you're expecting raw talent and skill, perhaps craving something new and exciting, then let me tell you, you've come to the wrong place. That's right. It's going to be mediocre at best, and quite painful at worst. Why you've chosen to come here, I have no idea. But you've probably made a mistake. Don't read anything I post. It's best for the both of us that I not be perceived.

Something that genuinely upsets me, that I see in the fedi on a rare occasion is the idea of #autism / #autistic surpremacy. The core concept is that neurotypical people, as well as just about everyone else, are actually personality disordered and that those with autism are naturally superior people.
This concept has so many ethical issues that it's not even funny. I want to redicule it, but that just hurts those who believe in it, pushing them away and causing them to believe in it even more.

Friends, I need five dead simple project ideas, just to stick onto my portfolio. Anyone have any app requests? I'd rather write apps than webpages right now. I can do websites later.

Can I just say what an amazing app #Gapless is? By far one of the best-made #mobileLinux apps.

Hey everyone. I've been getting a lot of questions asking about the feature set the sleep tracking will have upon completion. The short answer is, you can at least expect the basics. The long answer is, it depends on if I get around to it sadly within the 160 hours I'll be working on it.
Here's my personal roadmap for feature implementation:
Sleep Tracking
The basic features you'd expect from a sleep tracker. This feature set allows you to create, review, edit and delete your sleep records. Once this is implemented, this app will most closely resemble Plees Tracker on F-Droid.
Breath Tracking
This is where things get a lot more interesting and challenging. The application will use the microphone to record breathing patterns and detect all sorts of things, from the depth of your sleep to various pathologies that may interfere with your overall health.
Movement Tracking
When you perform a sleep study, they track a lot more than just your breathing. The hardware often contains an accelerometer to detect how often you toss and turn at night. We can make use of the accelerometer within cell phones to detect this data as well. This may augment and support our breathing data, or perhaps shed light on new issues, such as restless leg syndrome.
Pulse Tracking
Lastly, the coolest device found within sleep study hardware is a pulse oximeter. While I don't know of any pulse oximeters that work well with mobile Linux, we may be able to use heart rate data from smartwatches, such as the Pinetime, to augment our breathing data. This may help us confirm things like sleep depth, detected apneas, and snoring.
I hope this clarifies things up. If you guys have any questions at all, please feel free to ask!

I'm sorry, I guess I'm just trying to point out how stuck I feel.
It's strange, because I always saw BC as a safe haven for just anyone. Systemic violence is a whole different kind of fight that I don't know how to deal with.
I can't imagine how trapped you guys must feel.

I have done so every time I could have, except this one time my ex friend posted something blatantly antisemitic on Facebook. I asked for advice, but got none. I just blocked him and left it at that. I still wonder if I could have done differently to this day.
As for offline interactions, I'm 155cm tall, as scrawny as a twig, and as much as I'd like to single-handedly beat up a gang of Nazi's, I'd much rather take my own life the old fashioned way.
If it's not a gang of strangers, I speak up. I just can't fight these guys myself, especially when they're in a group.
Sorry to keep yapping, but I'm convinced my city has a cult in it that's stupidly efficable.
Ever played Far Cry 5? I literally live just North of where that game takes place, and this cult I swear has the same White conservative Christian racist patriarchal vibes as the cult from that game, except it's worse because they're real.
I've been 'lucky enough' to be harassed by them. They're literally powerful enough to compete with the Jehovah's Witnesses here.

All I can do is feel sorry and sad for you guys. Damn. I'm sorry.

I guess that I would hope so. Sometimes it's hard to see the forest through the trees, or the value of something, until you lose it. People are crazy diverse internally, I've learned.

Another downside is, no one sees your hard work, so they don't value it.
