Everyone here talking about how the bot traffic thing was propaganda — I’ve been following violent, sexual and hateful rhetoric posts on young Finnish female left wing politicians’ facebook posts for about two years while blocking these fake accounts in tens of thousands, and the misogynist troll accounts seem to have diminished by about 90 % on the usual suspects’ pages, and female politicians themselves have noted on these same pages that they don’t get as much hateposting as normal.
Now because someone wrote without citing sources that the original Yandex bot statistics from Cloudflare couldn’t be identified as social media trolls (which was also without source) someone else is citing Ukraine as having fed a fake media story (with no sources!)
Ok so what is up with the literally thousand suddenly mute fascist Facebook accounts in Finland if this is all fake news?

"I could prove that, if we have a few rich and powerful men on the pinnacle of fortune and grandeur, while the crowd grovels in want and obscurity, it is because the former prize what they enjoy only in so far as others are destitute of it; and because, without changing their condition, they would cease to be happy the moment the people ceased to be wretched."

Ainakin kolme on saapunut algoritmien saattelemana silmämunieni eteen voivottelemaan, kuinka hyvää työtä he ovat tehneet (ml.

After our current Finnish MAGA administration here started working three years ago we’re now crunching new big numbers of homelessness. The homeless used to be people with addiction problems, now they include 80-year-olds as well as babies. The neoliberal racists in charge now whine on Facebook every day that people don’t like them, even after how well they’ve governed the country (created mass unemployment, record stats of it, all in order to make labour cheaper and to get housing removed from homeowners to landlords.)
This news is old news.

To pass the time better than doomscrolling, I've been studying graphic design and illustration from library books. The graphic design part especially contained information on layout and values presented in a way how f.ex. watercolor classes don't necessarily explain themselves, and I like how both these books on these topics begin with Lascaux cave paintings, which I think is a little wild, because I've thought of them as ritualistic art, while from an illustrator or graphic designer's point of view they're containing Information, and they read into them entirely as infographics. Wow.
Also yesterday I finally finished Byles & Orland's "Art and Fear" (1994), and all of them nicely tie into Lascaux, fine art and illustration by asking questions on who gets to do art, who gets paid, how much of an infographic is the Sistine Chapel ceiling, and so on, and so on. I especially enjoyed Greg Houston's comments in "Illustration that works" on old paintings that look like they're fine art, but that they work with the logic of current day illustration, if you have any knowledge of the context of the art pieces.
It all comes down to a delightful and somewhat messy puddle where meaning and reading become somewhat convoluted once you step outside of the obvious.
Also the Art and Fear chapter on Art and Science was one of the nicest things I've read about art in a long while.

Jotkut asiat Linuxilla on aivan tajuttoman helppoja.
