Manchester SciFi Book Club

Manchester SciFi Book Club originally met at Madlab on Egde Street in the Northern Quarter of Manchester UK . Our inaugural meeting was on 9th January 2010. So our group has been discussing Science Fiction novels for >10 years! You can see our whole book list on our previously read books page. Our first book was “The Forever War” by Joe Haldeman. We now have a monthly online meeting and chit-chat in between.

Why not read "The Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy" - this rainy weekend, then join us on Tuesday evening to discuss it. 7pm UK time Online.
(I'm still not sure the book is better than the radio series - but Terry Jones said it was.)

Quick reminder....
Our next book is
"Swastika Night" by Murray Constantine
'Published in 1937, twelve years before Orwell’s 1984, Swastika Night projects a totally male-controlled fascist world that has eliminated women as we know them.'
