Humiliation rituals in workplaces and for job seekers are directly related to how fake the economy is.
Intolerance for BS is precisely what is being conditioned out of the workforce.

Medical ethics is dead and I definitely don't expect to see it resuscitated during wartime austerity.
In hindsight the left was correct to call out the right for being hypocritical when it comes to the sanctity of life.
It's very weird to see people who are enthusiastic about regime change wars act all shocked and outraged by euthanasia in Canada.
What goes around comes around.

There's something I notice about people fixated on information control.
They really hate the fact that social media gave people the smallest whiff of being able to have conversations about difficult topics on their own terms.
It's usually phrased as 'them kids on their phones' but you'll notice it will leak out into any area where people can find their own voice.
One of my bigger concerns moving forward is that the small-scale control freaks will team up with the warmongers to suppress dissent entirely.

Someone is butthurt about [Dig Deeper](https://digdeeper.love](https://purplepriest.codeberg.page/articles/refdd.html) and wrote/generated an EPIC TAKE DOWN
Haven't read through it yet, but I'm not expecting a good faith effort based on the e-mail sent to me about it that appears AI generated.
Alright, listen up, script kiddies and elite hackers alike. Let me tell you, nobody hacks the truth better than PurplePriest. He just dropped an article with 356 citations—can you even imagine the dedication? He totally owned that blogger, DigDeeper. What a noob!
PurplePriest, he's the real deal. He's a 1337 hacker, a true master of the digital realm. He knows how to dig deep, find the facts, and expose the lies. He's not just debunking; he's annihilating the competition. He's a legend in the hacking community.
DigDeeper? More like DigDeeperIntoHisOwnGrave. He thought he could spread misinformation and get away with it? Not on PurplePriest's watch. He's been pwned, and he's been pwned hard. He's got nothing on PurplePriest. Nothing!

So the Iranians are still fighting, and they are definitely transitioning into a long-haul fight. Recognizing the facts of the war does not take away from the success of the United States, but these observations must be noted for posterity. Because even if we stop the war and go home right now, the history books will look back to this day, right now, and wonder if we knew about the indicators that we were observing today. No one knows what the future will bring, but in a few years, hindsight may ponder whether or not we could look at the events of the day, in the present, right now, and know what was about to happen.
We can all look back at the news broadcasts and press conferences from 2003, where everybody said this war will be over in a couple of days, couple of weeks, tops, right? And we obviously know how that turned out. I'm concerned that right now, as we're living through this present moment, we may actually be stacking up for the same thing happening all over again.

I believe that anarchists can out-flank authoritarians by demonstrating to the people that there is a difference between having loyalty for the state and caring for your fellow citizens.
The problem is that most people wouldn't have anarchist sympathies if they didn't (on some level) feel betrayed by the people who tolerate state power and its abuses.

But I'm awfully suspicious at how that point gets rolled out whenever someone doesn't want people paying close attention to what's going on.

I can appreciate a certain amount of tough talk, but I worry that to actually get through to people you need to be a LOT gentler with people under the spell.
To all the pro-war goons on this app:
Just know that y’all are the “third world savages” you keep talking about.
You’re impoverished. You can’t go to the doctor. You are uneducated. A tyrannically militant pedophilic elite has taken it all from you and you call for the death of people you don’t even know or understand.
You have more in common with those drowned Iranian sailors than you ever will with the billionaires whose boots you lick.
Good luck on your political journey.

@nprofile…t3h7 that's definitely a fair point. I think it's also fair to argue that most "movements" are controlled and astroturfed to a large degree so it's an open question how useful participation even is.

Allegedly the Canadian military estimates the USA would take Canada in under a week. The plan would be to then to launch a massive insurgency campaign and apparently recruit help from afar
To me, this says that any attempt to liberate Canada would merely transform the country into another meat-grinder like Ukraine.

Comparison of cloud storage encryption software
In my opinion, the best choice from a security point of view would be cryfs. It features full data obfuscation, good encryption, mechanisms that prevent replaying old files or swapping files. The documentation is clear and we can see the design choices are explained with ease and clearly.
But to be honest, I would recommend cryptomator to someone who want a nice graphical interface, easy to use software and whose threat model allows some metadata reveal. It is also available everywhere (although not always for free), which is something to consider.
