Last night in Sarajevo: working on the #Soulfly concert as a photo dude for ISK (a bad one, total amateur), but also helping my daughter enter her first big moshpit!

Let me introduce you to my new favorite band.
Witch Club Satan, Norway.
Occult. Feminist. Black Metal.
Murderous as fuck.
Screaming banshees.
Fuck, I'm afraid of them, and I like that feeling.
Black metal was such a long playground for boys. Women are reclaiming it marvelously.

POPIK is the first Bosnian band on Subvert, a new community owned music platform positioning itself as a Bandcamp substitute.
Since there is 0 % commission on sales, we're offering two of our albums at a lower price than on Bandcamp.
Go to https://www.subvert.fm/popik and get yourself some great metallized punk. That's how you can help us to see if the system work and if we can even receive your hard earned cash 😃

Everything has gone to...
In January 2023, @npub1fdr…lvhs used the term "enshittification" on his blog, pluralistic.net, to describe the deterioration process of the TikTok network.
Enshittification consists of four stages:
1. Platforms are good for users
2. Platforms abuse users to be good for business customers
3. Platforms abuse business customers to keep all the profit
4. Platforms die

Nothing fancy. Everday work. Browsing, access to online services, a few games, although I can go without that.
Only thing that keeps me tied to Windows is Scrivener (there was a Linux beta, but it's unsupported, and I really don't want to mess with my novel now), and Adobe, which I heavily use, mainly Audition and plugins for podcast editing.

The end of the support for Windows 10. I'm certainly not paying for support, so I'm thinking dual boot. Linux distro for everyday work, isolated windows for software that is not on Linux.

This is me (playing bass) with my first band ever called Rapa Nui. This was officially our first gig, although the first one happened a few months before this one, in Sarajevo, in front of the then-demolished Youth House.
Back then, I hated melodic punk, feeling the buzz from bands like Motorhead and different extreme metal and grindcore artists.
However, in 2016, I rediscovered an old favorite.
This is a story of how Bad Religion made me start listening to punk rock, and became one of my favorite bands: https://arnel.bearblog.dev/how-i-started-believing-in-bad-religion/

Dear Fediverse,
My band POPIK just released its second full-length.
https://popik.bandcamp.com/album/brzi-i-grozni
I think we amplified the metal influence on this album compared to the previous ones, which is expected from three metalheads who listen to punk.
Thematically, we've pursued new sources of irritation: cocky young bands, the diaspora spreading hate speech, former employers, and the cultural scene in Sarajevo.
Also - the first Bosnian hardcore song - in SWEDISH!
If you like what you hear, feel free to send a few pennies our way, and I promise we'll reinvest them in making more music.

The biggest problem with the Carrie remake is the fact that Chloe Grace Moretz looks like an angel, while Sissy Spacek looks like a total weirdo, although she's a beautiful woman.
The best thing about the Carrie remake is Julianne Moore. She's amazing. The finals of both movies are equally chaotic.

I am so sorry you're having bad experiences with Mastodon. So far, with two years under the belt here, most of my time was fun. The rest of the time when it wasn't - I wasn't using Mastodon 😂

i think bad sides of human nature cannot be avoided wherever we go, there are just places where they are more prevalent. Mute/Block/Report/Hide.

Fediverse has an antisemitism problem? I really haven’t seen one case of that, but surely I could be very wrong.

well, it could be a movie. Or, I know they did this one social experiment once when they had actors walking in Nazi uniforms, and recording people's reactions. Fee years ago, believe it or not, it was totally legal for you to walk with hate symbols on display in Bosnia. I don't know if the law has changed.

Danielson is putting Swerve over. I don't see it any other way, no matter Bryan's further involvement with AEW

that seems to be... The American thing? Solo pickles?

i find it so strange people are buying these pickles solo. Here, we have them in huge jars, and they're part of what si known as "winter salad", something you prepare before winter and store.
You also get sauerkraut (cabbage), peppers, even onions which are my favourite.
