I have a large following on X on an alt account and am committing to spending more time on NOSTR. My goal is to completely leave X but I’ll only do that if I see interaction here. So far, my return has been not great as it seems as though the toxicity and negativity of X has come here as well. Whatever happens, I wish you all the best.

Not air gapped. They use NFC for one of the keys, the other one is either on the phone or if you lose one, encrypted in the cloud and accessible through the vendor. That is my current understanding. It is 2 of 3 collaborative multisig as far as I can tell.

If you have a real wife AND a work wife, you need to work on your marriage. Nothing you say will change this truth.

As someone who has dozens of tech workers under my leadership, I know that reaction and it is simply an early sign of burnout. If you want them to succeed, lay off, or find a way to support them. If you are just an unhappy user, remember that these Damus Devs are just someone else’s baby the same as all of us.

On a recent pod @npub1rtl…jtfs and @npub1qny…95gx were discussing the bitkey and debating how much you would store on it. After getting one and playing around with it, I am struggling for reasons why you wouldn’t put your entire stack on it. It’s multisig, can be geographically dispersed, inheritance is rolling out this month, not sure if that will require kyc or not but most collaborative custody does, it allows utxo management, and you can set send limits that do not require the bitkey. What are the drawbacks? @npub1sg6…f63m

Lyn, do you think impersonation is going to be a bigger issue on NOSTR due to the low cost of getting an account verified?

2024-03-02 04:02:16 UTC

I’m so grateful that this is not my first bitcoin bull run and I no longer think about “selling for profit”. Through no skill of my own, I have managed to end the last two cycles with more bitcoin than the cycle before. I have somehow won the lottery due to my disdain for central banking and government planning. If this is your first cycle, you are not too late, stack sats and hold your middle finger up to the government and you’ll be here in four years. Do it.

Inspired by bitcoin Atlantis to get more active on nostr. I think most of my X followers are bots. Any real humans here?

Would you use a ledger as part of a 2 of 3 multisig using Sparrow?

Honest question in light of the libbitcoin wallet hacks. Do you have anxiety about your Bitcoin being swept? Even if you use a hardware wallet and it’s open source, if you’re not a coder, how do you really know it’s safe? Is 24 words with passphrase enough? Should you go multisig? Should you spread your coin amongst multiple wallets? How do you personally get comfortable with your self sovereign security?

Are one tap zaps truly possible? I selected my default wallet and turned off the wallet selector so now when I zap it automatically opens my wallet but I still have to send the sats. Is there another way to make it truly one tap?

I’m so confident in the importance and benefits of bitcoin for humanity, that the urge to be “toxic” when I hear ill informed opinions like this is almost overpowering. What are some ways to suppress this?

Sorry mate. My nephew has a similar diagnosis and I’ve found the treatment options for this are quite effective so you have many reasons to be optimistic. And you may want to research IP-6 inositol as there are a lot of anecdotal accounts of this helping with cancer. I’m sure your dad will recover as humans are more resilient than you think. I don’t have advice for the truck but given the other stresses, do yourself a favour and let this one roll off your back and focus on your health. Picture yourself at the same time next year when all these trials have passed and you may find it helps with current anxiety. Take care.

I hadn’t seriously considered until this weekend that when people realize #bitcoin is an escape hatch from the corrupt fiat system, they won’t be happy to get in, but instead will lash out in anger at those waving the caution flag. Wild times.

Why am I seeing so many people insist that recent action by the fed is not QE as though it makes a difference. QE is creating money out of thin air to stimulate the economy and the recent action is creating money out of thin air to stabilize the banking sector. Money created is money created. Am I wrong?
