I am impressed by how lightweight #XMPP is. Most of time, I am not able to open even simple websites on my mobile data while in underground #Delhi metro, but XMPP messages go through immediately.
On a related note, I remember having internet issues in my previous phone a couple of years ago after switching to Lineage OS. Matrix, websites etc. didn't use to work. But XMPP messages used to go through fine.

I presented #Prav today at #BiharFOSS. The interactive demo suggested by @nprofile…nxrx and @nprofile…8cku was simple for newbies to understand and made the talk interactive.
The idea was to get two volunteers from the audience, one having #WhatsApp and the other using #Telegram, followed by asking them to send a text from WhatsApp to Telegram. After this, get a volunteer with non-Airtel number to send an SMS to me (as I use Airtel), illustrating federation nicely.

@nprofile…ypzn I didn't do any software/firmware update, neither connected the device via cable. I did a reboot but that didn't fix the issue.
However, reinstalling the app fixed the issue.
