If your money is in the bank, it’s no longer your money—and it’s not even in the bank. They’ve already lent out 90% of it to others. Study Bitcoin. Be your own bank. #Bitcoin

I am reminded of this every time I look at land from an airplane window or on a long road trip.
Humans tend to congregate around energy sources, so I also think about how SMRs (small modular reactors), the internet, and Bitcoin could change all that.

Yes, I'm puzzled that so many Bitcoiners are still invested in Elon's WeChat dream. While I understand the importance of being on X if it helps put food on the table, just like with Bitcoin, they should at least consider devoting more of their social media time to platforms like Nostr.

Fix the money, fix the world. That’s the mission. People can play with monkey jpgs if they want, but it’s sad. It says a lot about people and their capacity to understand how fiat is destroying everything that makes us human.

Hi Bjorn, remember this topic? You called it “brain wallet”. Sparrow took it to the next level to called “border wallet” it’s ideal for crossing dangerous borders.
As I had mentioned before, the major flaw with your original idea was the arrangement of the words on a grid. It needed to be scrambled with true entropy, but still be able to be recovered. This way, there is no need to save the pattern and risk having a computer program try to guess it.
Also, Sparrow added another layer of security by setting the pattern to be 11 or 23 words instead of the full 12 or 24. This requires you to memorize one extra word that is not part of the pattern, so cracking it with a computer would be extremely difficult.
The recovery words for the scrambled grid also functions as a decoy wallet that could be empty or have a small amount to disguise it even more.
Overall, it’s still very dangerous to rely on your memory. It’s good for emergencies…maybe have trusted family members memorize it as well and have them understand any clues to may have about your pattern.
Anyways, it’s kind of cool that something you thought of it got refined and created.

“Not your relay, not your notes”
Guys, help me out here. I know Umbrel is working on this. Is there a similar solution for a Synology NAS?

Question from a non-technical person: Is it possible to run a #Nostr #relay on a #Synology NAS that is only being used as a Plex server? If so, how?

How does nostr.report work?

2023-04-12 20:57:44 UTC

Price is communication towards cooperation, peace, and prosperity. Price is also an automated way of managing supply and demand. Having a fixed unit of account is critical for good communication.
