Here's a rad guide for radio comms:

The recommendation for a stationary base is to get a license so the equipment doesn't get confiscated. But otherwise:
"If you are interested in transmitting outside of the law, make sure that your equipment is discrete while being transported and make sure you widely vary the location and timing of transmission. Vehicle based systems should use removable or discrete/camouflaged external antenna."

Yeah, district attorney, they're the state's prosecutor pretty much. They decide whether to press charges or not from police arrests and such.
Its not about proof, i'm not trying to provide evidence for your criteria. The legal system is long broken (or not meant to function impartially) and the decision-making process of institutions like Cornell U are greatly skewed towards the ruling class and the general power dynamics of society.
The number of people harmed at that university in a similar way is alot and there's been very few repercussions and accountability involving the abusers and the system(s) they are a part of. So this case also resonates with everyone elses direct experiences of being harmed and the lackluster response or lack of. So why wait for a verdict from systems that empower abusers and authoritarians, that rarely reflects the interests of the general populace.
Maybe if there was an alternative system of evidence-based deliberation that operated by libertarian values, outside the bounds of authoritarian systems, and directly accountable and socially based within the community this serves, ... then guilt and innocence could be explored the way you wish. I imagine the verdicts would be unorthodox since this hypothetical institution would exist outside state apparatuses like fines, parole, imprisonment, and state-sanctioned murder.
One more thought. So now the governor assigned a higher ranked DA to the civil case, perhaps what the survivor wants. But partly this is a crisis of legitimacy so the state is attempting to reassert its validity by liberal values and state law.

The DA dropped the case until the survivor's recent civil case. (They claim the summary the university police sent them removed key details.)
The legal process is used to avoid accountability and protect the abusers. There's a huge disparity of power in our society reflected by how the legal system functions. the innocence until proven guilty ideal mostly only applies to people in positions of power (over others) and with access to expensive lawyers and such.
From an article about Monday protests on campus, an organizer is interviewed.
"Between 2018 and 2024, there were over 1,200 reported instances of sexual violence on campus. Only seven of those cases resulted in expulsion,” he said. “So when we have a statistic like that, it is clear that the administration is not interested in seeking justice for survivors, and so we must return to an independent judicial system, one where decisions about discipline are not made behind closed doors based on what looks best for the university.”
https://truthout.org/articles/thousands-of-cornell-students-protest-for-accountability-in-rape-case/
The article continues to point out that the Cornell admin. vehemently prosecuted students participating in the Palestinian solidarity encampment in 2024. You are aware of the anti-free speech efforts by the state and many universities across the US? Rules and laws are enforced selectively along political lines to favor the ruling class... On top of how laws and policy are enacted and how laws rarely reflect the interests of the general populace and often benefit wealthy interest groups, such as wealthy donors who support fraternity houses at the university.
Support of the current system is a veneer of impartiality that actually favors the abusers in these cases. Asking people to wait for results from a system that's geared to disfavor them is a way to demobilize and disempower them further, because direct action outside of the system is one of the few effective ways to exert influence over it and moreso to help oneself or others by alternative means.

Already the frontiers of the world (for homo sapiens to escape the state) are near-nonexistent. Europeans in the Americas can't just suddenly go native. I understand this as the social objectivity of reality, how people define what is reality through many means, such as dialogue, books, science, and how one relates to another in their society. For tech this could mean those smart watches which feed bio data to the person wearing it and to some vast surveillance apparatus, changing both how this individual interfaces with their body (and communicates about such with others) and what data the LLM has access to (and its response to others' queries).
To quote more from the essay...
"What truly matters, however, is not "innovation" itself, but the new social, political, and economic relations in which it is embedded. At the foundation of my analysis lay the notion of biohypermedia: an emergent space of new entanglements, forms of deep interdependence in which entities remain correlated even at a distance. In this space, biological bodies, digital networks, and interconnection machines intertwine not only materially but also through ongoing processes of meaning production and circulation, together constituting the very reality in which they operate."

Sorry that people are calling you what you aren't.
Here's a rad essay on the topic. "How to Survive Artificial Intelligence
Giorgio Griziotti
September 16th, 2026"
https://illwill.com/how-to-survive-artificial-intelligence
"A diffractive approach leads us to interpret artificial intelligence not merely as a social mirror, nor simply as an automaton serving the capitalized form of collective knowledge that Marx called the general intellect. Rather, AI plays an active role in producing reality — both alongside us and beyond us. This means going beyond the familiar critique of AI bias as a mere reflection of human prejudice embedded in training data, a critique that too often ends in calls for technical solutions.8
[...]
Through this lens, the diffractive approach also exposes the effects of interactions between humans and AI. It shows how design choices, political decisions, social practices, and the data incorporated into a system concretely shape its outcomes — making visible responsibilities that would otherwise remain hidden. More broadly, it highlights how this co-production not only organizes the division of productive labor in contemporary capitalism, but also actively contributes to the formation and maintenance of social orders, epistemic hierarchies, and ecological configurations, determining which bodies (human and nonhuman) are valued or discarded, which forms of knowledge are legitimized or suppressed, and which energetic and material metabolisms are imposed upon Gaia."
The essay continues, but an example which comes to mind, with sorrow, is the Israeli gov. use of AI to identify people in Gaza to kill. Effectively being an assassination factory.

I remember when 4chan got captured by fascists, which was because mods weren't strict enough when stormfront brigaded the place, then because the site got bought out by an oligarch and the mods would lock threads and ban users who weren't fascists.
I see this trend occurring on corporate media as well, news to social media. Twitter is another obvious example, an oligarch buys it then bans anarchists and such and welcomes fascists, and alters the algorithms to push the overton window to the right. With LLM the forces of domination removed leftist content. On news the Paramount capture then attempt at WB.
Under this are decades trend of increased control of standard tv, radio, and print media.
Left alone without interference the internet social spheres and even standard media would look very different (in better ways) than it does now.

@npub1ekj…wjxt
Via the book "The Accumulation of Freedom, Writings on Anarchist Economics", one of the authors in the chapter "The anarchist method: an experimental approach to post-capitalist economies" make the common point that determining an economic system for others is authoritarian. Instead the new economy should occur through the practices of the people involved in it.
Therefore the method they propose is simply anarchy (as an alt to the utopian-moral or marxist-determinst methods). Kropotkin defined it as a flexible society based on voluntary associations. To Malatesta, after a revolution, "probably every possible form of possession and utilization of the means of production and all ways of distrubtion of produce will be tried out at the same time in one or many regions, and they will combine and be modified in various ways until experience will indicate which form, or forms, is or are, the most suitable... So long as one prevents the constitution and consolidation of new privilege, there will be time to find the best solutions. [...] For my part, I do not believe there is 'one solution' to the social problems, but a thousand different and varied in time and space."
A key problem is the method of coordination in the post-capitalist economy, there's three primary modes proposed in thought-experiments from the different methods: "decentralized market-socialism", "central planning", and "democratically planned, but not centralized, cooperative economy".
Goodman says we are in a period of excessive centralization and suggests to decentralize where, how, and how much as is expedient.
Bookchin advocated communist communes similar to the Israeli kibbutzim, a part of his libertarian municapalist model.
Takis Fotopoulis proposes "a stateless, moneyless, and marketless economy", but with an artificial market for non-basic needs that balances demand and supply. He also writes about the community as an enterprise through town meetings and federating and scaling up from there.
Parecon twists this with small face-to-face groupings of workplaces managed by workers' councils and consumption by consumers' community councils. Yet still invisions economies linked on a national level. Local economies should be as self-reliant as possible, within broader federations and networks.
"The issue of size is directly related to that of technology. [...] Tech would have to be completely reorganized and redveloped over time to meet the needs of a new society. Immediately after a revolution, the workers will need to begin to rework the process of production (machinery included) to do away with the distinction between order givers and order takers, to produce useful goods, to be in balance with the ecology, and to make a decentralized but productive economy possible."
Another key question is reward for work, with various theories exploring this.
There's also the question of transitional phases and the practicality of this. Especially considering the difference of capabilities for this to occur because of the dirge of expoitation at the starting point.

Hence to go further to the question of practical freedoms, such as the freedom to disobey, freedom to move and be accomodated, and the freedom to rearrange one's social relations, and the power dynamics involved with living together and how society is organized, such as Starhawk's power-over others contrasting to power-with, or Graeber's & Wengrow's three elementary forms of domination: "control over violence (sovereignty), control over information (bureaucracy), and charismatic competition (politics)".

Why did the author cite Benjamin's angel of history, overburdened by the past, while the storm from Paradise's Gate obscures its vision? ...
"By removing Paradise from our origins, we are invited to appreciate the forms of classless societies and spaces of freedom that have in fact existed and continue to exist in the cracks and at the margins of the dominant society. The existence of free peoples has nothing to do with any prehistoric innocence; it is the direct result of political decisions to marginalize forms of domination, and of successful exoduses or revolutions against domination, sometimes in institutionalized form. Such revolutions did not purge evil from the Earth, but they did destroy institutionalized forms of domination and build social forms protecting the basic freedoms. Free peoples were not the blind products of tradition, nor inhabiting a mystical and incommensurable world, but self-conscious and conflictual political achievements, revolutionary successes made by real human beings.
[...] I’m suggesting that, for our understanding of history, Graeber and Wengrow have calmed the storm blowing from Paradise by closing its gates, removing from materialist historiography the myth of original innocence and the triadic messianic structure it implies. It was from Paradise that the storm called progress was blowing. In closing these gates, the angel of history may fold their wings to see the catastrophe — in which we still reside — within its wider context: not as the whole of history, but as one of many islands of domination within a sea of free experimentation in what it means to be human. "

Excerpt from Closing Paradise’s Gate https://illwill.com/closing-paradises-gate :
"Benjamin’s ninth thesis of “On the Concept of History” introduces us to the image of “the angel of history,” a theological figuration of this redemptive revolutionary orientation toward the past. Unlike the historicist view, history is seen not as a progressive course of events but one single catastrophe piled high toward the sky,
'There is a painting by Klee called Angelis Novus. It shows an angel who seems about to move away from something he stares at. His eyes are wide, his mouth is open, his wings are spread. This is how the angel of history must look. His face is turned toward the past. Where a chain of events appears before us, he sees one single catastrophe, which keeps piling wreckage upon wreckage and hurls it at his feet. The angel would like to stay, awaken the dead, and make whole what has been smashed. But a storm is blowing from Paradise and has got caught in his wings; it is so strong that the angel can no longer close them. This storm drives him irresistibly into the future, to which his back is turned, while the pile of debris before him grows toward the sky. What we call progress is this storm.'
(Benjamin, “Concept of History,” SW 4, 392.)"

The contrast between destiny, freedom, and obedience permeates homo sapien existence. We are the people who believe, after-all. I believe there is a power of belief.
The distinction also parrallels an old Budhist story of sequential transformations. First you are a camel carrying water through the desert, and how much water and how distant equates to the power of the change when you face all of the many scales of the dragon of 'Thou Shall'. Upon victory you are the lion of 'I Will'. Then finally you become a baby, pure yet still with all of your experiences of living.

Within "East of Eden" the characters discuss an epiphany about God’s message to Cain, but against God's command or destiny is a different translation of thou may.
" Now, there are many millions in their sects and churches who feel the order, ‘Do thou,’ and throw their weight into obedience. And there are millions more who feel predestination in ‘Thou shalt.’ Nothing they may do can interfere with what will be. But ‘Thou mayest’! Why, that makes a man great, that gives him stature with the gods, for in his weakness and his filth and his murder of his brother he has still the great choice. He can choose his course and fight it through and win.” Lee’s voice was a chant of triumph."
http://timshel.org/timshel.php
People say the author got the hebrew word wrong. Yet the difference is an intonation which may change depending on the storytellers. I wonder if the competing interpretations are reflected by the past neighboring Judaic states. The one in the north much more cosmopolitan. And after invasion by Syrians their southern neighbours were vindicated in their obedience, since everything that happens is because of God. Although two centuries later they were conquered by the Romans. Ultimately the unresolved unrest between the different cultures, for the emperor couldn't also be a God for monotheism, and the legalese that follows this.
Remembering Hammurabi's obelisk, one of the first artifacts of law, in a scene atop it is the sun god Shamash giving the scepter to the king.

The cockroach party got the education minister to resign, which is a first against the Modi regime.
Here's a good article via the Guardian about the movement and its origin as satire, detouring an insult directed at unemployed youth.
"I will die for this cause’: how India’s cockroach meme became the biggest challenge to Modi’s grip on power"
https://www.theguardian.com/world/ng-interactive/2026/jul/25/i-will-die-for-this-cause-how-indias-cockroach-meme-became-the-biggest-challenge-to-modis-grip-on-power
The movement already seems constricted when the prominent leader who went on hunger strike and participated in negotiations with the state is able to cancel the protest after the minister's resignation. Which was the movements' primary stated goal. Graeber's analysis about victory curtailing the movement is relevant here. He was referencing the anti-nuclear movement of the 70s and the alter-globalization movement of the early 2000s before it got coopted by the liberal-led anti-war movement, after the US invasion of Iraq & Afghanistan. The movements disintegrated as their medium goals were quickly successful, which was a surprise to all.
"In retrospect, it’s easy to see most of the subsequent problems emerged directly from the very speed of the movement’s success. Radicals had hoped to make links between the nuclear industry and the very nature of the capitalist system that created it. As it turns out, the capitalist system proved more than willing to jettison the nuclear industry the moment it became a liability. Once giant utility companies began claiming they too wanted to promote green energy, effectively inviting what we’d now call the NGO types to a space at the table, there was an enormous temptation to jump ship. Especially because many of them only allied with more radical groups so as to win themselves a place at the table to begin with."
The Shock of Victory
https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/david-graeber-the-shock-of-victory
So as participants of the cockroach party celebrate their collective power over the state, the state made a calculated move to circumvent a greater danger to its legitimacy and domination. I wonder if people will take it further and widen the scope of their critiques and goals?

The contrast between authoritarian militarism and libertarian militancy is also elaborated in the "Second Battle of Mendiola" essay.
"Even in civil war, there must be tamang proseso, with guerrillas both communist and Bangsamoro bowing to the legality and legitimacy of the peace table. The negotiations at the peace table fulfill two functions. First, they represent the negotiated merger and legitimation of a faction as it ascends into the party of order. Second, they serve to demobilize the force of arms of their own faction and delegitimize any participants in the struggle who refuse to accept the compromise. In this context, tamang proseso suggests that there are only two routes to reform: negotiated integration into the party of order, or armed struggle for the purpose of negotiated integration into the party of order. The possibilities of social insurrection, rupture, revolution—much less anarchy and communization—are excluded altogether."
tamang proseso means “correct process” or “due process", which also extends to the Maoist insurgency of the Communist Party of the Philippines–New People’s Army (CPP-NPA), used to silence criticism on the grounds of sacrifice. Much the same logic permeated the sectarian's of Japan's long '68, a fervor which eventually devalued the will to revolt, because of a lack of care and the disconnect and loss coupled with this.
Besides the repression from the dominant party of order and the mediative cooptation from the caucus of the false critics, " the reimpositive black scare emerges from within the party of anarchy themselves, as a consequence of the real material and ideological limits to the insurrection, limits that the insurrectos must overcome if they are to transform an insurrection into a social revolution that engulfs the whole world.
[...] the insurrectos must struggle against the very power to legitimize, developing an anti-politics that rejects even (or especially) the democratic form and the legitimacy and citizenship it implies."
They continue. It sounds like a big factor that others were unable to overcome was the need for defense and for food. ... ...

2026-07-23 23:13:24 UTC

Are the cockroach party protests in India a continuation of yesteryear's rebellions around Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Madagascar, and the Philippines, or are they a beginning of a new wave of global rebellion?
For more about the latter, i suggest: "The Black Scare and the Party of Anarchy
Notes from the Philippines on the Second Battle of Mendiola"
https://crimethinc.com/2026/06/30/the-black-scare-and-the-party-of-anarchy-notes-from-the-philippines-on-the-second-battle-of-mendiola
In a different essay about the "Life of Militancy: Japan’s Long ’68" ( https://illwill.com/life-of-militancy ), the author studies the decade long uprising there that's since been memory-holed alongside the late-capitalist passivity of the general populace.
"Yet we believe that the long ‘68 never really disappeared: it lives on somewhere in collective memory as a pool of experience that could awaken repressed desires of the people to change their society and the world that shapes it. At the right moment, this memory could function as a critical call for a new alliance of the masses and another wave of rebellion."
Ultimately the new left and the global '68 uprisings highlight some unresolved tensions & contradictions, such as between a new path toward a synchronicity of popular struggles and
the old internationalist socialist strategy of seizing state power (which was betrayed during the Second International and at the outbreak of WWI in 1914).
"The global ‘68 embodied the limit of a politics of world order — be it nationalism or internationalism. At the same time, there was an opening to a still unknown politics of the Earth. In this sense, the global ‘68 was a watershed moment, a shift from one idea of revolution to another: from “changing the world by taking power” to “changing the world without taking power,” from a synthesis of nation-states to an association of autonomous zones, from national subjectivity to the subjectivation of planetary inhabitants. This shift of political ontology is still underway, still incomplete. Either for the moment or indefinitely, we are caught in the middle, oscillating in between."
The asymmetric forces of sectarian Marxist milatarism, in contrast to nonsectarian, anti-vanguardist militancy, reminds me of the dynamic described in the "Second Battle of Mendiola" essay, between the spontaneous emergence of a party of anarchy and an attempted recuperation by the "caucus of the false critics", who strive to reform and/or become the Party of Order.
At a popular point of conflict in Japan '66 to '78 was Sanrizuka. Farmers resisted airport construction there much like the ZAD in France semi-recently. Some of the new left decided to live there and support the farmers.
"The decisive point is that we see here a militant community with the capacity to accommodate multiple, otherwise diverging or conflicting groups in such a way that they were able to fight side-by-side. These were capacities that the militarist sects themselves could never conceive.9 As we see it, militarism forges hordes of workers, students, and others (war machine) into a hierarchical organization through a disciplinary normalization of language, behavior, body, and relation, in order to confront state power as its symmetric opponent. By contrast, militancy reflects an ethical measure of power directed instead toward the enrichment and intensification of autonomy. The latter tends to confront state power asymmetrically by weaponizing the lifeworld in its full sense: corporeality, reproduction, and communality. This asymmetricity can encompass a spectrum of forms of power within it, from conflictual initiatives to more hospitable sensibilities.10"
Tranforming into the present the author sees the will to revolt fade to a sensitivity for cohabitation, from a label of revolutionary to activist. "Therefore, militant anti-authoritarian movements have not grown to be a substantial current as they have elsewhere."
"The Fukushima nuclear disaster in 2011 coincided with the global uprisings initiated by the Arab Spring. The two planetary catastrophes in different ontological registers encouraged Japanese activists to play a dual role: to protect the reproduction of the populace from radiation, and to protest the government and the Tokyo Electric Power Company. For two years, these projects exerted powerful effects. They accomplished the largest mobilization of indignation since the long ‘68, and prevented the government from restarting the nuclear plants for roughly two years. Eventually, however, an overwhelming sense of crises under the unending nuclear disaster enabled the return of conformism — “solving problems as a nation” — and the protests came under the control of JCP-related movements, which, in collaboration with police, and for the sake of their electoral campaigns, preclude all degrees of militant tactics by violently excluding anti-authoritarian radicals. In other words, a permeating conformism prioritizing social order encouraged the liberal parliamentalist movements to obstruct the activists’ attempts to empower the crowd on the street. Their interference became another factor — an external cause — preventing militant anti-authoritarian movements from becoming a substantial current. All in all, however, the imposition of legalism/pacifism has always been the modus operandi of the postwar status quo, from the right and from the left. "
...
"our task today is to recreate a culture of militancy that combines a sensibility for cohabitation with the will to revolt. Only then can the repressed experience of the long ‘68 be resurrected on a new horizon."
