Sitting in an airport hotel room, I turned on the TV.
How THE FUCK do people even watch cable TV now?
P.S. are that many brands of generic viagra actually necessary?

Once upon a time, I collected #StarTrek novels, right from the very beginning, when TOS and TAS were all we had. The Star Trek Readers by James Blish covering TOS. Alan Dean Foster’s version of TAS. Then new adventure novels started appearing. It was very exciting. By time time TNG started, I had QUITE a collection, especially when they started churning them out, once a month. Then DS:9 came along, and VOY, and I couldn’t keep up. So I stopped. When we moved 13 years ago, that part of my SF library (with a couple of favorites held back) was boxed up and shared out to friends.
Star Trek will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️

This is from a post on FB, about how the polio virus made a comeback in Indonesia, and has been beaten back:
But here's the part many people may not know...
Indonesian officials found a chunk of <the vaccine> disinformation came from Russia... the same playbook they've been running in Europe, the US, Africa, and yes, here in Australia.
Because why spend billions on tanks when you can break nations with Telegram memes?
The strategy is brutally elegant...
Convince religious conservatives that vaccines violate their faith.
Convince political conservatives that vaccines violate their freedom.
Convince enough people that expertise itself is a conspiracy...
...and suddenly you've turned a medical tool into a culture-war weapon.
Sick countries become unstable countries.
Unstable countries become distracted countries.
Distracted countries stop opposing Russia's geopolitical fantasies.
They don't need you to agree with them.
They just need you confused, angry, divided, and distrustful.

I’m finally working on something I always swore I’d finish. When I was a kid, my grandpa did a lot of latch-hook rug making, and one year he gave me a kit. When I finished hooking it, he helped finish the edges. I still have my nice little Inuit rug. In my 20’s I found this panther rug kit, and started it. It’s WAY more complicated. It’s also been carried around for many years (I’m 61 now) but I just started working on it again. Row 25 completed! Only 55 rows to go!
