Hey developers! Just a reminder that we have an extensive guide on #accessibility in our docs. Since it's Global Accessibility Awareness Day, maybe you'll find some good ideas in there on how to make your projects more accessible. Have a look: https://docs.wagtail.org/en/stable/advanced_topics/accessibility_considerations.html

Wagtail doesn't come with AI features out of the box because we feel very strongly about giving people choices in when and how they use AI tools. But! If you're curious about about adding AI features to Wagtail, this is a great place to start.

On an OLED display, the wagtail.org dark theme clocks in at 4.4W power use – vs. 7.6W for the light theme! A chill 40% #sustainability improvement for one visit to one site, but this adds up fast at the scale of tens of thousands of sites and millions of users. Lots of potential here – if you want your site’s themes checked, do tell! ☀️ 🌃

aria-label is an #accessibility letdown. Developers try to do the right thing, results fall way short. https://wagtail.org/blog/aria-label-is-a-letdown/
34% of aria-label uses we reviewed are likely incorrect (🥲). Those are Wagtail numbers but the issue is industry-wide

@nprofile…70tq Perhaps there are some interesting correlations around how much of our community uses linters.
We also know how much @nprofile…fsjf people love #HTMX. What about #Wagtail people?
We could also see if us birds have won over any data scientists by seeing if there's any overlap with @nprofile…h0jm
Maybe, we just kind of think pandas and wagtails would be cute together.😇 🐼 🐦
