I don't know what this says about me, but after all the huff and puff that's been made over AI, the truth for me is: I wouldn't even know what to use it for.
I mean... imagine I had no objections (the stealing of copyrighted material, the excessive energy use, whatever)... I still wouldn't know what to do with ChatGPT and the likes.

You can tell I'm old because when a game requires 4 GB of disk space I'm going "whoa that's a lot"

It's especially dumb for a device like a dish washer, which literally can't be used remotely.

This guy, like me, doesn't want appliances connecting to the internet.
When shopping for our current dishwasher we used the "has an app" filter on the web shop to look for one that doesn't have this 😅

We got Sky Team for Sinterklaas* and it's very good! @nprofile…4l6m and I just landed out first plane and even though it did require some coffee, there were no major disasters and everyone's quite safe 😎
* Sinterklaas is the big gifts giving children's celebration in December in the Netherlands. It's on the night of 5 December.

@nprofile…zxnz yeah, I think the XLR inputs take mic level signals, and the TRS inputs take line or instrument level inputs.
So getting a microphone to work probably involves hooking it up to the XLR inputs somehow.

idk if it's the pandemic or getting older or what, but meeting up with friends for a few hours is absolutely exhausting for me these days

@npub1rty…n9h4 I might look into it when 10.13 breaks down for her. But for now it kinda works again.
